I bought a bottle of these pills for Levi's lung mets.  I read on this site http://pathwith.....st-cancer/

Should I give him 4-5 pills a day?

Also, my biggest concern is can this stuff mix badly with the other supplements levi is on.  He is taking previcox, doxycycline, k9 critical care package, and artemisinin /artemix.

Should I give it with food or on an empty stomach?

Let me know. Thanks

Levi was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma 7-7-11
Ampuversary 10-14-11
Lung Mets Discovered 1-4-12. Chemo seemed to not be working so we switched to Artemisinin and other supplements. In May, Levi developed a sinus infection and started having seizures. The cancer had moved to his brain. We let him go 6-26-12.

I don't know about the new supplement, but my vet and the vets at the University of Illinois all said that dogs shouldn't take artemisinin /artemix during chemo — but, looking at the dates in your signature, perhaps Levi is done with chemo?

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.

We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.

When I saw the title of this post I thought it was spam, I've never heard of this one! But the info on a Path with Paws is terrific. We've asked the founder to be on Tripawd Talk Radio so stay tuned, hopefully she can be on soon.

Meanwhile I would definitely run this by a vet familiar with these supplements. If Dr. Wiltzius can't answer it, you may want to see about consulting with Dr. Charles Loops, who's helped many Tripawds here. Please let us know what you find out.

I have used some herbal treatments for my dogs in the past but I am not familiar with this one!  Where did you get it?  Some herbs do react with other drugs so I would consult your holistic vet.

Ok, here's the scoop.  The vet on Path with Paws emailed me back.  She said it is OK to take with Artemisinin and/or NSAID's.  The dosage for a Medium to Large Dog is 4-5 Pills in the morning and another 4-5 at night (Or twice a day basically).

We are going to give it a try...
