so Jill's tummy has been making these weird noises, kinda like when your stomach growls and then also belching, not like letting out a burp, but more like when you have acid reflux (if that makes any sense)?  Now, I notice this is only happening when she is excessively licking my hand (she does this at night when she comes to bed) so I am sort of certain she may be getting air into her tummy?...however, this is a habit (the licking) she has been doing for 7 years now and this tummy noise/belching is something new.

Am I being paranoid or is there cause for concern....I have all scary sorts of thoughts going through my head like a met to her belly......

thanks,

PP (Paranoid Pawrent) Erica

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Sometimes medications can upset her stomach.  Is she still taking anything?  Cats can have a sensitive GI tract so acid reflux is possible.  Ask your vet about using pepcid for this.

It is very unlikely to be a stomach met!

It does seem odd.  If she is eating and not vomiting then I would not worry.  Pepcid is most helpful for cats experiencing nausea.
