Goodmorning Kami and Mackenzie,
I hope you are enjoying the best of Christmas mornings together. Please give that beautiful girl a hug and kiss from Sammy and me today. Many hugs,

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Sending you warm Christmas thoughts for a wonderful day together.

A very merry Christmas to all of you! I feel so honored to have all of your well wishes and blessings and most importantly, your friendships. Just warms my heart completely and gives me strength to get through this last part of our journey. I can't thank each and every one of you enough. We are off to a good start this morning. It actually started last night - I fell asleep in this sitting room we have upstairs only to wake up and find Mackenzie close to me sleeping too. I was so pleasantly surprised (my husband helped her up the stairs so she could be with me.) This morning she went outside without incident and even barked at the noises.
Pam, thank you also for your comments. When I read your post I called my oncologist. They told me that it is a soft tissue mass - I was hoping it was bone and they also confirmed what you said about pain control. Right now, Mackenzie's on melaxicam and gabapentin. I have tramadol on hand if she needs it (although I'm hoping she won't since she gets rather out of it.) So thank you - I will keep these medications in mind should we need to add anything.
Wishing all of our tripawd friends a wonderful holiday!
xoxo

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Merry Christmas guys, we are thinking of you all. Lotsa love coming your way.
