any thoughts welcome
we have finished our 6 rounds of Carboplatin following amputation and are now having Masivet suggested for the next treatment option
I am struggling to find experiences of this treatment option used in Osteosarcoma, please I would appreciate thoughts on this
my boy is 7 year old toller, amputation was at the end of August, he has responded well to treatment so far, is fit and apparently well so fa
I have seen Palladia used this way and I believe these other drugs are similar. They were developed for mast cell cancer but may help slow the growth of other tumor types. I did not do this with Tazzie due to cost and side effects but many dogs here have tried it. You could look into metronomic chemotherapy with Cytoxan or Leukeran in addition to meloxicam or piroxicam.

Hi there, thank you that is what I had read
We are going to the veterinary hospital to talk about using this drug and possibly get on their trial and to see what they are saying, however I have read somewhere that it may be being withdrawn from sale in the US, any reason?

Unfortunately the FDA has pulled it. See:
Kinavet-CA1 "Conditional Approval" by the FDA has expired as of December 15, 2015

So from reading that they don't appear to have invested in the research to prove the efficacy of the drug hence the withdrawal of approval?
Another thing to discuss with the vets we are going to see, its never easy is it?
