Little Lily kind of bites at her healed incision site. I check, nothing is there. No fleas here. No redness, nothing. I remember having an incision itch after surgery. Anyone else have their dog do this and any suggestions?

Is it possible that the shaved skin/fur is causing some itchyness? I know that hair growing back in might cause some itchyness...

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Oh gosh! Its so good to hear from you and to know Lily is still showing the world what a survivor she is!!! If anyone isn't familiar with her background, just click her avatar and look at "posts started". Click on her blog link too. Unbelievable what this little Doxiie has been through!

Thank goodness Lily is in your lpving home. She deserves to know what lpve feels like, and you are showing her.

Don't have much to add towhat Alison said regarding the itchiness. It could also be possible she's experiencing a bit of nerve pain still...maybe,? Does she seem to be in any pain?

How is Liky doing over-all? Any problems for her little Dachshund- self getting around in three legs? Would love to see video! Has the MRSA cleared up? How about her eye?

And how are you holding up? You've done an incredible job of caring for sweet Lily! You are her Saint!!

Look forward to more updates.

Hugs to all!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

She could be having mild phantom pain or tingles.  If there is no discharge or redness then I would not be too worried.
