We just celebrated with a flying dutchman!!!
Zeus, you and your pack are in our hearts and thoughts this weekend.
Hugs to your whole family,
Samdog
Samdog was a 10 yr old Golden and retired SAR dog. We found a bone mass on 8/17/12, needle biopsy showed sarcoma 8/22/12, amputation on 8/23/12, post-amp biopsy confirmed osteosarcoma on 8/28/12. Sadly, we found lung mets on 11/27/12 and my Spirit Sam earned his wings on 12/2/12.
We didn't know where we were headed and we don't regret a single step along our path. It all happened too fast, but he left a legacy of love that we will always cherish. Good bye my heart.
You can find our story at http://samdog.t.....ipawds.com
Happy Ampuversary, handsome Zeus!!! Lily and I are so inspired by you and your journey. I am so happy that you are all back together again. Zeus is our tripawd hero-he continues to be inspirational to so many of us.
We also want to celebrate Zeusy's upcoming 12th BD--special ear scratchies for Zeus and lots of love coming his way.
Lisa, thinking of all of you and wishing you extra special time with Zeus--you are in all our thoughts. I know it is such a heart wrenching time.
Celebrate today!!
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Happy 9 months Zeus! Tash just celebrated hers the other day. Keep fighting buddy...we're thinking of you.
Tasha was a German ShepherdBorder Collie mix who was diagnosed with OSA at age 8. On December 29, 2011 she had her front right leg amputated and received 4 rounds of chemo. Sadly and suddenly Tasha became sick and we discovered she had liver cancer that had spread to her lung. After almost 19 months, Tasha earned her wings on July 17, 2013. No regrets and never forgotten.
Happy 9 month ampuversary Zeus-- Tripawd Warrior Dude Extraordinaire!!!! Sorry we're late to chime in; BARNEY dragged us away for the weekend (more on that in another post). We're back now, and we wish you a very happy day snuggling with mom and dad and enjoying all the love they have to give you. While we're at it-- Happy 12th Birthday!
Catherine, Spirit Scout, and MB Tom
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
Just a quick note to let everyone know that Zeus had a good ampuversary as well as really good days on Sunday and Monday! Not sure what to think of him and his refusal to give up. He's trying to convince me that the French Fries are a miracle food and we should have them for evey meal....
Thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes!
Lisa
Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

A little late on the Woo Hoo but I was on vacation!!! Zeus was in my thoughts and prayers every night while I was gone (and so were all the other wonderful Tripawd Warriors...as you all are every night)!
Keep rocking boy!!! And milk the fries for all you can!!!
-Kori & Angel Lupe
Diagnosed with possible synovial cell sarcoma of right front elbow 5/31/12. Amputation surgery performed 6/7/12. Final diagnosis of histiocytic cell sarcoma 6/11/12. Her soul and spirit were strong, her body was not...my little girl earned her wings 6/14/12. French fries certainly are a powerful force for good.
Hooray for good days for Zeus! Keep 'em comin'! (The good days *and* the fries!)
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
I can't fault Zeus's logic. If french fries are working then so be it! We hope you have another wonderful weekend with your beautiful boy.
Karen and Spirit Magnum
Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
