After reading several blogs tonight and after our difficult week of losing Sassy and Brendol I happened to find this in a catalog of all places!
It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them.
And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.
If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog,
and I will become as generous and loving as they are. - Anonymous
I also found this in the same catalog:
I'll always love you, you know that!
But I'm really happy where I'm at.
Trails and parks and dogs galore...
I've crossed through Heaven's doggie door!
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
Awwwww Luanne, we all need to subscribe to that catalog!
Thanks for taking tkme to share. Love the "doggy door in neaven" concept.
PLEASE give that sweet Shooter (((((HUGS))))) from us......and save a big one for you too!
Lots of love to you and Shooter!
Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Thank you, I was trying to articulate that first one to Michelle the other night. It's very sweet. And yes, please tell Shooter how much we love him!

Thank you so much for sharing. Both are very sweet. As everybody knows by now, Brendol was my baby girl. Of course my heart will hurt. But I am so glad that I had brought Adelaide into our home this past Spring. As I go through this, Aissa, Adelaide, Mathilde, and Morrigan all are helping to mend my broken heart. And with time, the scar that is left will be stitched over with my many loving memories of my sweet pea.
Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury. Her amp was on 10/1/12. She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera. We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.
