So I have a friend who is a deputy in Ft Collins and she has been super busy evacuating folks from the wild fire.
It got me thinking...what up Wyatt?
How are you and the peeps?
Hope I didn't miss a blog and look like a doofus but I can't help worry about our official spokesdog and the wonderful people in his pack!
Soooo.....I hope this post finds you all safe!
Please know we are thinking of you and our neighbors in another state.

Hope I didn't miss a blog...
Not in the Tripawds News blog at least, see Rene's latest LiveWorkDream post:
While the High Park Fire rages on and is rapidly approaching Jerry's Acres, Wyatt and the pack are all safe and watching closely from afar in Lake City, CO.
Thank you all for your concern. We are truly blessed to have such a caring community here.

Hope they get the fire under control soon. It seems like it's going to be a very long fire season in a lot of places...
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
How far is it from your place? I checked the map but Red Feathers is hard to determine on the map.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
OH NOOOO! I am sorry to hear it is so close to your home!
In the paper today it said they are sending some of our National Guard and equipment to help......
I hope it gets contained real SOON.
Rene has a great attitude about "stuff" but it's got to be hard!
So, do keep us posted "k"
Duuuuuuuuudes, you really are great, you know that? Even you MBBVP! Dang, I'm so hoppy you remembered where live!
Well, our crib is OK right now and hopefully will be. Because like that smart-alecky MBBVP said, I can put out a fire just by barking at it! So take that, fire!
It sucks having to be so far away when I can be over there helping you know? We are about 6 hours from the fire. I don't want our place to burn. I like going there. I hope the moose are OK.
Your pal,
WRD

Well, dang. We just got the sad news that the High Park Fire has gotten even closer to Jerry's Acres. My crib is still safe, but there are LOT of my neighbors' animals who need our help.
Here's what my Mom wrote about the latest High Park fire news, and what you can do to help. Thanks dudes. Paws up.

All fingers and paws crossed here that the firefighters get a break, and the fire comes under control real soon. Hope all the wild animals are able to move away (assume there is a "get the heck outta here" instinct); also hope all the domestic animals are able to get out and find a safe place to wait it out. Thinking of you and praying the fire spares Jerry's acres and your mountain home. Please keep us updated.

Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
Oh my gosh - I'm so sorry to hear about these awful fires. And to have one so close to Jerry's Acres - yikes.
Sending tons of good thoughts to everyone affected by these fires.

Hey Wyatt, you have been quiet lately. I saw that the High Park Fire is now 100% contained (hooray!)-- were your home and Jerry's acres spared? Thinking of you and all your CO neighbors.
