I don't know how many realize that Jasper (Jasper's Road to Recovery), lives in the same town as we do. We have been in touch with his mom about giving Murphy's Floatcoat to Jasper. Today was the day we met.
What an absolute joy he is! We are so happy that the yellow "Speedo" will be in use this summer in the same lakes as it was last summer. I just wish I had a picture of Jasper proudly carrying his new life jacket down the sidewalk toward home.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Awww. Kathi, I know this was a very bittersweet time for you. Im jist guessing that a few tears were shed. It is such a generous thing to do and in such a life affirming way that honors that fun boy Murphy.
I know everyday is still hard and the waves of grief are still very strong.
Had that Murph sent anymore signs recently? I know one thing, I cannot ever jave a green bean without thinking avout Murphy and smiling!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

As we were standing there talking back and forth and getting lots of loves and kisses from Jasper, Garry leaned down and found a crusty old penny lying on the ground! Talk about that Murphy letting us know that it was OK for Jasper to get his Speedo!

Murphy was definitely putting his stamp of approval on the transaction!!! And I think the fact that it was "old" meant Gus was saying hello too!!
Tahoe sends Stirling pennies and dimes a lot. He keeps them taped in a journal with the date and location.

I know it was bitter sweet that Murphy's float coat left but I am so glad that he told you it was ok for it to go. 🙂 I am sure Jasper will love it and put it to good use. I am with Sally I think of him when eating green beans.

Oh, how I love the special pennies! What a sign! What an special thing for you to pass Muphy's Float Coat along. I am with the others, I think of Murphy and green beans in the same thought. I know it is still a hard journey right now. What a cool idea Sterling has for the pennies and dimes. I keep mine in the bag that Ty's angel dog necklace came in. TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Had no idea you lived in the same town! What a beautiful scene Kathi, I can picture it in my head and know all of our Tripawd Angels are so hoppy about you loving, generous gift to Jasper, which no doubt was bittersweet for you all. The awesome members of this community never stop touching my heart. Beautiful!

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
I broke down and planted the bean patch over the weekend. I wasn't going to do it, but just couldn't help myself. Maybe there will be another bean eater by the time they are ready. If I could find one with Jasper's personality, it would be NOW, not later!

Reallh glad you pla trd the bean patch. Yet again with mixed emotions. I think you'll find with time, it will be more of a warm fuzzy feeling that will bring a smile to your heart.
AND, perhaps Murphy was just waiting for you to plant the beans so now he can proceed with "planting the seedsl to bring the right dog into your lives!!
Happy Hannah had Merry Myrtle in tbe works for me right along this same time last year. I'll have to check the dates, but I think she jumped I to my heart and my home right around the second week of June.....just sayin'!!
