our neighbours paid a for a recorded delivery letter to tell us we had planted flowers on their property . when we looked a miniature daffodil had fallen over onto their side of the boundry of our front garden.
they also said they where taking us to court to replace a miniature confer we had supposdly killed (same spot) because it had gone brown in the middle as confiers do.
3 years later we are sill waiting for that court date ,lol
Elizabeth, Wow! I can't believe you all were able to get from all out poop fight back to mowing each other's yards. That must have taken some work. While I understand the lesson in patience that you are talking about, I have to admit to a tiny bit of envy that you had the guts to toss his poop back at him!
Jeannette, you're welcome to plant daffodils in our yard anytime!! 🙂
Well, it has been 10 years. The guy is an idiot, but one winter we had a 14 day power outtage. My husband and I have a 15k kenworth gen that lights up everything, including our christmas lights. Our whole area has wells and septics so you have to have power to use the toilet or get water. We extended a cord from our house to theirs and offered them power. We also have pulled the wife out of the ditch more times then I can remember and helped to fix their stupid 45 year old kids cars.
They took awhile to remember all the help we have given, but eventually they came around. They still drive by every once in a while doing 40 up our driveway, but they have also had us over for a clam bake and beer. I guess we both realized that it is better to help each other then have a grudge match going on.
Have you ever had a moment that embarrassed you to remember but it also felt like a big relief? He was unremorseful about the poo and really condenscending in his communication with me and I guess I went from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye. I had been holding alot back and really that was the last I could take. I felt like a chihuahua barking at a Rottie. Then.. fling! I got his attention.
Good luck with your neighbors, hopefully they won't buy the place. Maybe you will get better ones once the bad ones move out.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
