I know it has been a while since my last post, I have been super busy with work and everything else.
Ariel is now a Certified Therapy Dog with TDI, WOOHOOO. We are currently on the waiting list for CHKD hospital and should be in their program within the next few months. We have currently been through orientations at a few nursing homes and begin our visitation schedule next week 🙂
I saw a post on the Rescue forum for a little guy names Zepplin from Hickory Hill K-9 and I was instantly drawn to his cute face and his story. I have tossed around the idea of getting a companion for Ariel and he just seems perfect, with that being said I have put in my application for Adoption and with fingers crossed I should hear something soon.
Curiosity got the best of me, how many have had two tripawds?

Hopefully my new Addition soon.
OMD! We saw that little guy in the forums--he is soooo cute! Tell them if they need a reference they can call on the Tripawd Nation! I really hope he gets to come home with you. We have a trio of tripawds (Codie Rae and Travis Ray have Tripawds blogs ) in our pack plus a token quadpawd. They are the most awesome Oaktown Pack!
There are some other two and three tripawd households around. I just wish I could remember who they are. I will mention Biff, Gabby, and Sunshine another triumvirate of tripawds because I don't think their mom is frequently on the site. When Sunshine passed away they added Penny, who became ... another tripawd! There is another three-tri household that has two dogs and a cat. And I think there are a few with two. So, as you can see, some of us just can't get too much of a good thing!
Pleeeeze keep us posted! I think we would all be over the moon if little Zepplin became a member of your household and the Tripawd Nation.
And thanks for the update on Ariel! She looks fantastic and it is SO wonderful that you two are now a therapy team!
xoxo,
Martha, Codie Rae, and the Oaktown Pack

RACHEL AND ARIEL!!!!!!!!!! OOOOOOMMMMMMDDDDD!!!! To hear from you has sent me over the moon with happiness!!!
To hear how well Ariel is doing...to hear you are going to adopt Zeplin.......my face is smiling so much it hurts!!!!!!
Okay....I'm gonna try and post a link tonyiur first post so everyone can understand what a MIRACLE DOG ARIEL IS...ALONG WITH HER MOM!
Those of us who met Ariel at last years Virginia Trilawd Pawty were in awe of the courage and determination this sweet pup showed! Her one back leg was so weak, she basically pulled herself with her front legs and was in a crouched positiin with her back leg....kind of scooting.
http://tripawds.....eet-ariel/
A d look at her! She's a Therapy Dog! She's truly a ROCK STAR and will absolutely transform lives with everyone she meets!!
And Rachel!! There's another Virginia Pawty...actually Fredericksburg..over Memorial Day week-end! Search jnder the Tripawd Parties thread.....you and Ariel HAVE to be there!! I didn't have a way of contactingnyou and didn't think PM woukd work as you were never...or rarely...on the site.
And BINGO...BANGO! Here you and Ariel are adopting another Tripawd!!!
We're trying to contact Cheryl and Zac, and Deb (Lexie's mom) too.
And yes! Many of us adopt tripawds! In fact, Elizabeth not onlynhas Tanner, she just adopted Rosco! She also posted a picture of Zeplin under the Trilawds Rescue Forum! How is that for a coinky dink!
I now have a quad pod Bull Mastiff, Merry Myrtle AND I just adopted a tripawd Coonhound! Lori (Ty's mom) adopted Tripawd Daryl.
It makes me so happy to hear from you and Ariel! She is a Miracle Dog and you are a Miracle Worker!!
Sending love and hugs and more love and hugs!!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
PLEASE TRY AND MAKE THE PAWTY!!!! Rene and Jim are gonna be there with Wyatt Ray !
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Rachel!!!! It is good to hear from you! I have two tripawds now, Tanner and Rosco (I adopted Rosco from Hickory Hill).
Linda at HH-K9 is a wonderful lady and she has a great rescue. Make sure you call her and send another email if you don't hear from her, she is REALLY busy. (804) 537-5502 9am-9pm.
Please let her know that you saw Zepplin from my post and that you know me from here :)) I LOVE Linda and that rescue, she really loves all of her dogs. I also talked briefly with a lady who helped transport him, and she said he was an amazing dog!
Keep us posted!!!!!!!!
Are you coming to the tripawd party this year??

Welcome back! What a great update!
You'd be surprised how many have multiple Tripawds. Once you have a three-legger, those quadpawds just start to look weird
I hope you get to adopt the furball, what a sweetie.
Please keep us posted on Ariel's therapy dawg adventures. Talk about an inspawration! You are both on your way to making the world a better place, thank you!

Drum Rolll!!!!!!! I have been approved to adopt Zepplin.
Sally & Elizabeth I have read about the PAWTY and had every intention of coming however now that will be the best weekend for me to help Zepplin become adjusted to life with me at home. Unfortunately I will have to forgo the party but I believe it will be well worth it to bring Zepplin to his forever home!
Sally thank you for the Kuddos!
Elizabeth, Thank You So very much for positing Zepplin's picture!
I will keep you all updated!
I have been STALKING this thread waiting for any little piece of good news!! I may have...hypothetically speaking...maybe...sent an email or something....or it might have been Rosco.....possibly. HH-K9 is only 5 minutes down the road from my house and only about 40 mins south of the Tripawd party. Maybe you can pick him up on your way to the party...OR, maybe come by the winery event on Saturday :))) I am SO ridiculously happy right now. Jumping up and down, crazy dog lady kind of happy!!!! Totally get if you can't make it b/c having Zepplin home adjusting is much more important BUT you know we would LOVE to see you guys and your new baby!
Also, I just absolutely LOVE the idea of Aerial being a therapy dog. She was so amazing and I just can't believe the picture you posted of her. She looks great!!
You know when you get him you have to post a picture here and on Rosco and Tanner's FB Page if you can: https://www.fac.....8591633598
I've shared his picture a bunch and I would LOVE everyone to know he's gone to his forever home!!

Elizabeth tell Rosco Thank you
Depending on how things go I will try to make it to the party but I want to make sure he is comfortable with me and Ariel prior to the long weekend being over. I will give it my best shot to make it.
I will def keep you updated, going to meet him tomorrow(without Ariel) will give an update.
Oh, I LOVE Zepplin! Love how his little front leg is right smack dab in the center of his body.so adorable. We sure would love to meet him at the Pawty! So excited for you! And Ariel, well I will just say I am pretty partial to Black Labs. Lori, Ty & the gang
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Oooooh, look how happy they both are, Zeppelin is so cute!! He looks like mischief 🙂
Daisygirl, I didn't realize you had two tripawds. We need a club for "multiples" LOL. My two don't really get that close either, mostly b/c Rosco is a little bit of a diva.
