I'm jealous of every one's yard! I live in the desert and I'm not exaggerating when I say, it's a two man job to dig a small 1 gallon hole! It takes a pick and shovel to dig a hole for a 5 gallon tree! It's even worse where I live because it's sort of on a rocky mountain side off the Vegas valley floor. Plus, you usually have to replant something at least twice because it dies when the heat gets to it. And goodness gracious, if the sprinklers aren't working right, then 2 days can go buy in the 110+ heat and you have dead spots!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
