Liliana, I didn't become part of this community until my Jake passed away. I lurked for about 9 months and then just a day or two before he passed away I finally posted frantically. Like you, I wished I would have done so sooner; but, its never too late to join us if you want to. A Tripawd is part of the family, whether they are on earth or in heaven 🙂

I saw this on Facebook the other day because someone (Michelle?) linked to it. I should have come over here sooner to thank you for including Dakota, also known around here as D, DD and Double D (yes, like the bra size).
I appreciate you putting Dakota's butterscotch face here. It made me smile to see my sweet boy.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/

Thank you, Sally, I really appreciate that. I will definitely come back and share about her and her journey. My husband wrote 2 posts here: http://sasharua.....pawds.com/ but we did not keep up with the posts here.

Liliana, we are so very sorry, we couldn't believe it when we heard the news about Sasha. Sally is so right; anytime is a good time to be here, that's why we exist. Feel free to share her story with us. Meanwhile i've put her pic in our Angels gallery.
Thank you very much, Jerry. I will definitely share her story and I'm working on a post for your about our experience with the Bone Cancer study at Penn Vet. I hope to have that in the next few weeks.

Thank you, Elizabeth, with much gratitude. I've had internet trouble the last week and haven't been on the site much. I just found this post tonight. Thank you for including Roxie. And all the others have become so dear and familiar to me, along with those who loved them so, and always will. I think we all share the fear Sally wrote about - that they will be forgotten or that they will fade in our memories. But while the heartbreak will fade and maybe some details, too, their essence will always be in our hearts. Thank you for reminding me of that.
hugs, Liz and Angel Roxie

Thanks, Elizabeth. And I'm very sorry about Jake. Loosing Sasha has made me question having future dogs. I still have 4 at home, one is 13.5, another one going on 12 and the other two, who I call the 'youngins' are going on 9 and 6. Even though I 'like' the idea of another dog, I don't think its fair to the rest of the pack to add another at this time. But I guess only time will tell.
I've been having issue posting to the forums, but I hope to share about Sasha soon.
Thank you again to all for the welcome, I really appreciate it.
