I wanted to show you how a rear leg amputee cat can move. This agile cat, named Phantom, who developed cancer from a vaccine, had the surgery on 7/16/12. Phantom's mom Jacki gave me permission to post the links here.
Jacki says "Please forgive the poor quality - my living room is very dark, and I accepted the YouTube system "improvement" because it made a huge difference to the contrast but lowered the quality. I think at the end of the first video you can clearly see her one-leggedness. She is NOT shaved, there was something weird with the lighting/image quality. The green fuzzy looking thing is a catnip pickle. Yep, you read that right. Someone in my reenactment group makes and sells the *most awesome* catnip toys in a variety of silly shapes :)"
Note: these videos are sideways.

Hmmm, I wonder if it has something to do with catnip pickle...
Kerren
Wow Kerren! That cat can move lightning fast! I'm with you though, somebody check out the pickle!
Phantom certainly isn't being held back at all by just having three legs!! Way to represent!!!
Hugs...and hold the pickle!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Wowwwee! These are so cool! That kitty is fast as lightening.
Do you think Jackie and Phantom would want to share their story for Tripawd Tuesday? I'd love to feature them.
Thanks for sharing.

Jerry,
I would love to share Phantom's story. I recently wrote it up in a somewhat abbreviated form for a new member of the VAS forum.
You are welcome to email me at pmsattack AT hotmail DOT com - please put VAS or tripod/tripawd in the subject line so I open it!
Thank you,
Jacki & Phantom (tripod 7/16/12)

LOL there's really not much story to the catnip pickle... I'm a historical re-enactor, and one of our members lives out West where catnip is farmed. She has access to better quality and fresher catnip, and sews these little toys. I also have "strawberries" and "raspberries", corn, carrots, even a sushi roll! Some of the toys are 5 years old, and if I step on it it just refreshes the catnip inside. I buy a dozen toys from her each summer, because my Gremlin likes to rip them open with his teeth - I've seen the little monster pick out the stitching!! - this year she happened to have these fuzzy pickles! She does online orders, too (http://www.falc....._toys.html), if you want to check it out.
