I recently posted a new blog and there was a comment left from Jerry asking about more info on Trick Dog Training, so I thought I would post something here, in the forums.

There is a website called Do More With Your Dog!  Here is the link...

http://domorewi.....ourdog.com

...to be honest I don't even remember how I came across it, but I am so thrilled that I did!!!  Over the past several months I have developed some health issues that is restricting my activity, which in turn restricts what I am able to do with my dogs, so I started do more brain games with them and it has been my saving grace...and theirs!!!

It is a fun way to strengthen the bond between you and your dog and they learn to do fun things that will sure to be a crowd pleaser!  There are four levels - Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert...you can also become a Trick Dog trainer.  When you get to the main page you will see a link..."Get Your Trick Dog Title"...click on that, then on the left hand side of the page it takes you to, you will see link buttons...click on the "Download Application" button...from there it is pretty self explanatory.  Each application will give a list of tricks and how many you need to do to get your certificate...and if there is a unique trick that your dog can do that isn't on the list, ask the experts where it fits in the rankings and they will count it.  If you are on Facebook, there are "Spark Team" coaches that post "how to" videos...they give you tricks to do each week for four weeks and at the end of that month you will have learned enough tricks to send in a submission.  I posted my submissions on my coach's FB page and asked her to be my witness and then filled out the application online, listing her as my online video witness.  Each certificate is only $20 US.  The gal, Kyra Sundance, who started it all, also has a bunch of "how to" books too.

Here are some things that I have done with Roxy and Miss Charlee...Roxy and Charlee's Novice submissions...

Here's some photo's of some of our tricks:

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

These are amazing!  Love them!  I'm going to head on over to that site and find some things to stimulate Riley (my serious couch potato).

Thanks for sharing!

You are very welcome...it seriously is a ton of fun!!!  And the extra bonus is that you don't have to get the certificates if you don't want to...which means it's FREE!!!  Can't wait to see photo's of everyone's progress...I will be sure to do the same with my girls 🙂
