Hello Tripawds! I know my name isn't familiar to many of you anymore because its been a while since I've posted here. Our journey started more than three years ago. And thanks to the support and encouragement we found here, my baby girl Roxy will be celebrating three years next Saturday, March 2nd. We have been so blessed, I know this. It could have turned out much different. Hope my girl can serve as encouragement to some of you starting this journey. I posted a few pics on her blog if you'd like to see them. This site has changed quite a bit since I was here and I can't figure out how to link her blog, but here's the address..... http://lesliec......pawds.com/
I've noticed there are a few cats here now. I'm glad you all found your place here too. My first tripawd ever was a cat.
Anyway, best of luck to you all. I hope you all have the great blessings we've had. These Tripawds are amazingly special creatures.
Leslie and Roxy
Way to go Roxy! Hi Leslie! We always wonder how you are doing and assume no news is good news- and we were right!
All the pups fighting mast cell have a special place in my heart- and Roxy is one of the few pups here who was around while Maggie was still hopping on her journey.
So glad to to hear how well she is doing, even with the arthritis. Maggie's little sis Tani is fighting that battle too.

Wow! A whole lot of Hoppy Ampuversaries are deserved...now and belated! Way to go, Roxie. Congrats!!!
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Thanks for checking in, it's great to hear from you, especially with such a great update!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
So happy to hear the beautiful Roxy is approaching the three year mark! Wow! That deserves a HUGE celebration. She looks fabulous. Thank you for posting and giving newcomers hope for longevity.
