Ruby Roo your adorable , stay safe indoors . The bears won't let Megastar bloomers near you anyway😉
Another fantastic picture Clare ! Love these action photos! She's flying not a paw on the ground 😊 I'm thinking Meg will be scheduling her acupuncture/laser soon😉

Hi Meg! Your Nor Cal pal Elly here.
Mom says you were out chasing hares...I don't know what those are, are they like cats? I hate cats and try to chase them at every opportunity. When I see them though the front window I bark and bark and run up and down the stairs until the go away. Or maybe like a squirrel? I chase them out of my yard. I haven't caught any cats or squirrels yet, but I keep trying. If I could get off my leash I bet I could catch the fat cat that lives next door. Mom won't let me off leash though, she calls me a 'flight risk'. Not sure what that is either but it must be super cool because mom tells everyone!
Anyway- since I can't get to the cats and I haven't been able to catch a squirrel I went after another fierce creature... and I got it!!

Oh my goodness, Elly. I would love to catch one of those. I don't think we have them in Norfolk. Is that some special Californian creature? I think maybe it's related to an Elsie Pie! It looks quite like her. To be honest, Elly, I'm getting a bit bored of the wildlife round here - I've caught it all. I think it might be time for an overseas hunting trip. I've heard Northern California is very nice, would you happen to know anywhere I could stay? Somewhere where you get spoiled rotten, with Sunday breakfast in bed? Do you know anywhere like that, Elly? Then you and me can go hunting and maybe we'll catch a mountain lion. Mum says you're practically a wolf and you certainly look very fierce and brave. I reckon we'd make a great hunting team. So how about it Elly?

Trust me, Karen, me, too! Her nickname should be Holy Hand Grenades! ( Ruby Roo actually was a "feral" rabbit who was turned loose from a foreclosed house and made it a mile to...my pasture. Who does that?!?!) The Roo does have her super powers but not nearly as super as the Elly! Anypaw capable of taking down King Kong is pretty fearless indeed!!! Elly, you are absolutely A D O R A B L E!!! Ellllllllllllyyyyyyyyyy, cats, squirrels, and Empire State leveling gorillas have NOTHING on you!!! DaBear HQ better straighten up! You and Meg and The Pie are FIERCE!
Yes Meg, you must come!
Today I found out what is in all those holes at the park. Well, I sort of found out- it was brown and ugly and when I tried to say hello it went down the hole. Then- get this- if filled the hole back up right in my face!!!! I just wanted to say hello and maybe chase it a little and it practically threw dirt in my face. Now I don't want to be friends- it might as well be a cat. I need your help to catch one!
So you can stay with me at my cool house- I had my Puggle friend Sophie over during lots of days in December and we got along just fine. She didn't stay over night though, but it would probably be OK. Mom has a big bed and there is lots of room. Elsie can come too and hang out with Obie. When we go to the park Obie sits on Grandpa's lap while I look for the hole creatures, seems like Elsie would like to do that. And- Obie has bad knees too!
And we have two chariots, I'm sure my mom would be happy to give you a ride in one if your wrist is sore. Then when we get to the park you'll be ready to help me with the hole creatures.
Here I am today waiting for the hole creature to come back and say hello:
Your pal,

(remember- just the messenger. I'm a little afraid of The Roo, I keep picturing the killer rabbit from Monty Python!)
thanks for that picture in my head now!!! You're cracking me up!! (In German we would say "thanks for the mind-movie")
Ruby Roo, don't listen! You're a LOT cuter than that nasty thing from Monty Python!!!

Elly – I hope you're serious, as I just found Meg with my credit card and Megaholidays.com (I kid you not) open on the computer...
When I told her off (she is NOT allowed to use my credit card without asking), she said it was an emergency, something about a Californian wolfpugmutt who desperately needed her help...
She seemed to be looking for flights via Georgia, I've no idea why.

Well it turns out there is a coda to the story of Meg and the hares. This morning, as we were walking along, five hares, five, shot out of the hedge right in front of us, and off in a line across the field one, two, three, four, five... and, of course, the Megastar right behind them. Well I reckon these hares had had a conference and decided to teach Miss Meg a lesson. Round they went, looping around the field, a conga of hares, with Meg behind them, turning in circles, doubling back. The field is huge, a good mile I should think from top to bottom, and at least a quarter mile wide, huge and flat. I could see everything, Meg disappearing into the distance, coming back, disappearing again as the hares led her a merry dance round and round, but for the life of me I could not get her to come. I don't know exactly how long this went on, but I'd say fifteen/twenty minutes at least. Eventually some other walkers arrived, with a sweet little dog, staying loyally beside them, just as Elsie Pie stayed beside me. Thankfully, they found it quite hilarious, and when AT LONG LAST Meg came close and they realised she only had three legs that just about finished them off. 'But how does she balance?' the woman kept saying, and I was able to do a little PR on behalf of the Tripawd Nation.
Meg is now so adrenalised that she'll be no good for anything sensible for twenty four hours at least. I'm not sure how well it comes across in the pic, but you can practically still see the excitement sparking off her. This is obviously once I'd got her back and put her ON THE LEAD. Poor Pie was less impressed as her breakfast was delayed by the Megastar yet again.

She has now watched it 163 times.... make that 164... She is particularly fascinated by the giggling at the end. RubyRoo and the Hares should start a band...
