Oh Fearless Leader,
We want to wish you a happy birthday #3. While you were celebrating your speshul day, our mom was trying to drown us in the nasty raining room. Bad momma, no cookies for you! She gave us cookies when we were all wet, but it wasn't for your birthday. She called us "good dog" and "sit" while she gave us a massage with a big dry snuggle -- and that felt nice. But then later, mom and dad LEFT US and went off to our city cuzzin's house without US! They are not very nice to us. Maybe you will find for us a better momma who doesn't make us all wet and then leave us while she goes and plays with other doggies.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!! (even from the stoooopid tripawds - I thank you because I'm nice that way and mommy is looking over my shoulder)
I didn't get a pony or bouncey castle but my Sweeta Rita sent me a picture! (Shush it up, Angel Abby!)
OH Z andd T! I got a bath today too! But at least you didn't have to go to the vet and get your toenails trimmed like I did! I guess mommy and daddy's are MEAN the day AFTER a dog's birthday! Sheesh. Actually, it felt pretty good to be clean but really I like being dirty too! Don't you?

Happy (belated) birthday!
Sorry to hear about the post-birthday meanness though.

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
