Taking a short hiatus, shout out to Spirit Maggie, and ET JuJu in the house!

Hi all,

I will be taking a short hiatus from Tripawds over the next few days (or maybe only a day or two).  I have to have a pesky shoulder repaired tomorrow.  Some of you know what kind of summer I've had, beginning with saying good bye to Maggie six months ago tomorrow.  So in Maggie's honor I am going to do a human imitation of a tripawd!!  If I do log on Friday or Saturday I want to state right now that I will not be responsible for what I may say- it will be the meds talking!!

Thanks to everyone here who have helped me through a really rough few months- no need for details, but I couldn't have done it without all of your support.  And a special thanks to my local tripawd friends for their offers of help over the next couple of months.

I know everything will go fine tomorrow because there is strong ET JuJu in the house!!!  I am wearing my socks right now, and will wear them to the hospital tomorrow.  Tani has already broken the squeaker in her JuJu star.

The house is so quiet right now, the quad pugs are staying with Grandpa because I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM tomorrow (and they will stay with Grandpa for a few days).

Thanks to Charon for the JuJu.  I'll let someone know how I am doing- so they can keep you posted.  Or if the drugs are good enough you might here from me tomorrow!!

The first pic is the pugs playing with the stars, Tani has the red one.  The second pic is Tani holding her star (I couldn't get a pic of Obie with his, he moves too fast!).  The third is the required sock, star and pup shot for the JuJu record!  (sorry Tani looks like Cujo- no time to fix the pic).

We'll be thinking of you Karen!

Get lots of good painkillers and take it easy. It will be SO GREAT once you're healed and 100 pawcent again!

Use that voice recognition software when you can and send an update OK?

Karen,

Best wishes for a speedy recovery (with Spirit Maggie looking out for you and the ET JuJu I think you're covered!) But we'll add our pawsitive thoughts as well!

Lisa, Ranger and Spirit Sadie

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

karen, glad the juju got there in time.  getting the rotator cuff fixed is a must, but remember, it's supposed to hurt, and that's why they invented drugs...stay medicated and take lots of naps!!!  sending our best wishes!!

Sending big, big hugs and lots of pawsitive thoughts to you, Karen!  We're cheering you on!  Best wishes for a good recovery.  We'll celebrate with your favorite treat when this is behind you and the pugapalooza!  big-grin  And I agree with Carmen - it could be entertaining to read a few med-induced posts.

Karen,

Sorry I missed your post yesterday. I haven't been able to log in since Monday because those pesky Monkeydogs got my IP address banned from the site.

We are sending lots of positive healing thoughts your way. I know you will be just fine............you have the Juju magic in your corner.

Oh yes, I'm so looking forward to some drug-induced post by Karen and the pugapalooza gang! smiley

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
