Well. As some of you know. . We lost our cat dexter to kidney failure the other day. And miss Erica wasted no time in finding me a cat to rescue a new kitty. She's saving tripawds one day at a time. .lol

We pic our tripawd cat up tomorrow, a main coon mix who lost his leg in a bear trap :(

Start thinking of names.. The ones we are coming up with. . Are. . Well. Poor guy ;)

I AM SO HAPPY I CANT EVEN STAND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I really started looking to find Lori a new kitty as a sort of joke because I thought well looking at kitties always cheers ME up...and then I thought well...she actually needs a tripawd since shes a member of this site and never really had a tripawd (but a GREAT honorary tripawd)......

AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!

Who better to adopt a tripawd Kitty who needs a great home!?!?

And wait til you guys see a pic of this guy!!!

BEST DAY EVER!

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Dexter.. was. .. Now don't tell anyone, but he was my favorite. My husband rescued him from my brother in laws crazy ex gf who was going to dump him in the shelter because he was a pee.er... But he was sweet and gentle and the most amazing alarm clock. And he loved his ladies. Lol him and Chuck had a love hate relationship. Chuck wasn't fond of Dex eating his food. . And Dex liked to eat. I really will miss him. ..
Here are the boys in their glory days. ..

Oooh! A giant breed kitty to go with the giant breed dog. What could be better? Congratulations on your new Tripawd. No name yet? You could call him Ross to go with the Betsy. LOL!

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Oh this is exciting news!! I just love everyone's love for animals here, it just melts my heart. I can't wait to see pictures of the new addition!

Sally, so its YOU?!!! Random cats keep showing up around my house and I've been suspicious for awhile now that someone is telling them "go to that nice lady on the corners house, she'll feed you". (I'm going to have to buy stock in cat food!!). LOL

Sorry to hear about Dexter. I know you had been battling his problems and it's hard to lose 2 furkids so close together.

Congrads on becoming an official tripawd owner! He is one lucky kitty!

Luanne and Spirit Shooter

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.

Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.

And....again: so sorry your kitty went to the Bridge.  Goodness knows, there's great company there!  HUGS.

~ Katy & Jackson

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!
