Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

OMG yes she does – like twins!
Besides the deformed stick leg of Comet's also!
Comet's DNA results came back as mostly an Afghan Hound! Even though I would have put money she was lab/corgi (she had a corgi blaze and appeared to be a dwarf dog).
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I'm enjoying these pictures so much I decided to post another one of Sam - maybe we'll get some more pics! I get a kick out of the big paws on little bodies, check out Rio and Jerry especially. And those tall lanky pups like Spencer and Wyatt.
More puppies, people!

TATE ~ Forever in our hearts.
We always said that Shasta (Rio's big sister) and Tosca licked all the black off their noses. The noses were black when they were babies, and then they got progressively more pink the older they got...

OMD!! What a fun post. I love seeing all my friends as little people, urr, I mean dogs 🙂
Here I am at about 3 months - see I didn't always have a white face!!
And here I am about a year later... Notice I am in the comfy chair and my pawrents on the floor. Can you guess who runs this house?
I want to see more of my friends as babies!!

First, here are two photos of tripawd Dakota taken the day we got home with him. They aren't pretty, but it's what he looked like. Because he was under veterinary care for the first 11 weeks that we had him, this is the only kind of puppy picture we have of him. They all look equally sad. But, he's our D-Dawg and we loved him. His estimated age is 5 1/2 months.
Now, entitled Monkeybutt Princess Evelyn the Embarrassment, opposite in every way to Dakota. Monkeydog. Quadpad. Planned pregnancy. Hospital delivery. Toys, food, water. The first picture is with Aidan when she was 10 weeks old; next is napping on George's desk at 12 weeks; then Christmas with her new, studded collar, 4 1/2 months old.
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Hoorah - more pics! That Nikki - such a cute little ball of pup! And Evelyn - oh my goodness! Too cute. I was afraid those poor sweet pics of Dakota might be the only puppy pics you had of him - but what a lucky day when you guys found each other!
Decided to post another of Abby. I was tempted to also post pics of our sweet angel Bailey, Abby's angel big sister... but she was not a tripawd and not even technically a monkeybutt, so it didn't seem right...
This is Abby on the day we brought her home. They estimated she was 4 months. She was so cute and floppy - I just wanted to carry her everywhere. (Which she found kinda annoying...)
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
OMD - these are just ADORABLE! I cannot believe there are three pages here before I chimed in. I have almost zero pictures of Trouble as a puppy. No digital cameras then.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Shanna - I have one word for you: scanner.
And do you have "almost zero" or "zero". Cuz if you have almost zero, that = at least one. So scan that puppy, so to speak, and get it up here so we can ooo and aaaa over it!
I'm getting addicted to these puppy pics and I need more! More! MORE!

Annie, tell Ginger I'm going to show Tate her puppy pictures! Rio reminds me of Sam, we call her "Pinhead". Nikki has the chubby paws thing going there, and I would just love to know what was on Abby's mind in that picture!
I want to see Bailey! All Tripawds siblings are welcome! …cuz I want to post another one of Sam. Here she is at 5 months, looking for more fun. (Promise, this is the last one!)
