That's just amazing. You are a true TRIPAWDS HERO, Purrkins. And you are so loved and treasured.

What a beautiful tribute, deeply moving and inspiring. Who needs four legs, indeed!

Love it! Thank you Clare!

"But despite their aloof reputation, cats can be just as devoted and brave"

In my experience cats do get a bad rep! I do understand why depending on the kitty and your knowledge of the kitties and how they are raised. etc.

Cats are equal to dogs in my opinion! I love them both!

Kitties normally live long lives there is the big difference!

Wow! Just...WOW!!!

I want me a Purrkins too!!

It's kind of funny: we dog owners think how amazing our pups are, how resilient (I hate that word) and how quickly they adapt. And then you see Purrkins in motion and sadly you have to go: 'ok, my dog is a big clumsy doofus compared to that grace!! (sorry Manni!!)

🙂

oh, and Holly:

you have an amazing staircase at home!!!

You would like it here:) & Not just the staircase 😍its not like GR we are rural! Depending on where you were in GR;)

Apparently nowadays it's not GR anymore but Byron Center. They re-zoned or something. I like rural. Most of the time 🙂

Manni is definitely my personal hero but grace and elegance is reserved for cats I think. they pull it off better anyway 🙂

WOW!!!!! WOW :-!!!!! JUST WOOOOOOOOOOW 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Have a lot of happy tears welling up over here! 🙂 🙂 I am sooo touched by this video on so many levels!! The love you have for Purrkins truly is a beautiful thing to behold!:-) 🙂

You've done an OUTSTANDING job of putting together a "snapshot" of what this journeynis all about. This really is a "go to" for anyone doubting how well a kitty can do as a tripawd! And you matched the music perfectly 🙂

I looooove his little TRIPAWD kitty harness!! He is a true fashionista:-) 🙂 And those beautiful eyes. One look and he owns you:-)

Purrkins really shows "where their is a will, there is ALWAYS a way"! Stairs? No problem! Getting to your favorite perch spot? No problem! Of course, not every kitty is lucky enough to have a human as devoted and as knowledge as our Holly!! 🙂

Okay, a little off topic. Holly you and Kerren HAVE to come to the EPIC VIRGINIA TRPAWD PAWTY! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 :-)!!! Having you two there to represent our kitty families would mean the world to us!! Getting to meet you two in person woukd be such an honor!! 🙂 🙂

You both contribute soooo much to this community and have expanded our knowlege of tripawd kitties LEAPS and bounds! 🙂 🙂

Lots of love!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

BRAVO! Give that Kitty an Academy Award (and you too Ms. Director!).

I stood and applawded as he ascended the stairs (which I love the design of, those logs are awesome!), and then went back down. It was interesting to watch him descend -- that's exactly the way I remember Jerry doing it, by leaning on the wall a bit for support. After a while our staircase had a faint brown streak where he'd lean! Too cute.

Great video, I've added it to our playlist on YouTube and here in the Forums.

Sally,
Thank you so much! It was very emotional for me to make this video.I knew you would be emotional too!
Emotional going back thru everything, and like I said a snap shot. I did not want to make it tooooo long I know 6 min might of pushed it for most people but how do I squeeze 8 months and all kitty things in 6 mins. very carefully😉
Im glad the love shines thru! He is part of my soul! We never know why we are chosen for this journey but if we can make some really good come out of something awful well lets do it! Purrkins sure has!🏅🏆😸
I knew you would notice his Tripawds harness😍❣️

Ok,I knew this was coming sooner or later😉You know I LOVE you guys and would LOVE to meet you all!
I am not saying no but, we will see, what the next month brings? I am dealing with a herniated disc right now😫
Doing PT and slowly seeing improvement. So will just take it one day at time and wait and see ok;)

Rene,
👏🏻👏🏻😍 Thank you! I was terrified for Purrkins and those stairs! They have always been one of my favorite things about this house until Purrkins had to have his amp. It’s funny how much the humans also change thru this process isnt it?
I do think the change is for the good! We slow down we stop caring about the stupid stuff.
Very interesting, Jerry navigated the stairs the same way! ☺️  Purrkins now races up and down them! Will try to catch him in action!  I’m glad Purrkins brought you a Jerry memory!🐾 Angel Jerry shines proudly !

Oh that video is just too precious.  The love you and and Purrkins share is just palpable in it.  What a proud mama you are and justifiably so.  This video will give so many kitty owners the strength and hope to do this journey.  Well done both of you! clapclapclap

Great video! I'm not showing it to my cats though - they would be envious of the set of stairs up to the window!

I found it very interesting how Purrkins goes up the stairs much differently than Mona. I realized it's due to their leg length. Mona has very short legs so can't step up. She has to hop off of both back legs at once and she goes very fast, even on the day after the amputation. She'll even do two steps at once. But when she goes down it's slower, one step at a time.

Purrkins is one special cat who is obviously well loved. I'm still impressed that he had a reading light at his litter box. laughing

Sally, believe me I've thought it would be wonderful to go to a tripawd gathering. Some Canadians have had problems crossing the border so I must show solidarity and avoid going south. Have a great time!! I hope Holly can make the trip.

Very nice Holly!  It's great to see him gain strength, balance and confidence as the video goes along.  I love that scene with the butterfly toy (is that what it was?) I remember when you posted that video- it's hard to tell he is a tripawd.

I love the stairs to the windows!  And it is really interesting how he goes up the stair case at the beginning- one paw at a time.  Now you said he flies.  A side by side video would be cool to see- how careful he was at the beginning and now the flyer!

Linda

Thank you❣️😻

Kerren,

Thank you❣️ Purrkins is really long for a regular kitty, he is almost pushing Maine Coon size in length! Mona is tiny compared to Purrkins. I actually did measure him one day😏🙄 I have always said we have dog size kitties laying in our windows😸Here is the proof.
