Oh wow I can't imagine what went through your mind last week, I'm so sorry this happened. It's a tough unexpected situation but you, Kaiserin and Schultz are handling it sooooo well. You moved quickly, got her fantastic care immediately and I have all the faith in the world that if surgery needs to happen, she will come through this stronger and more amazing than before (as if that was even possible!).
Thank you so much for taking time to update, I know you have a lot on your plate. I see you posted in Treatment and Recovery, hopping over there now.
Give those gorgeous pups of yours some extra lovin' from all of us. The pawsitivity is still coming your way!

Okay, any oldies around here, didn't a Lab named Charlie, Mom's name Ellen, have lung surgery to remove a mass?? Seems like they mostly blogged as opposed to posting on forums.
And want to say we are all pulling for your amazing Kaiserin! She's clearly determined to get better and move past this most recent "challenge"!

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Thanks for the links for information to read.
We found out we can have surgery on thursday and are going back to the cancer centre on Wednesday for a check up and pre-surgery consult with the surgeon. She is coughing a bit today (which really panics me) but they said if she is otherwise ok, the coughing is likely just from the presence of the mass and doesn't mean another bleed is coming. We just need to make it through until we go back there wednesday for the check up. The CT scan, xray, ultrasound confirmed no other cancer anywhere in her body. There is a very slight chance it is a weird fluid filled cyst that is not cancerous. BUT, the oncologist said although this is listed as possible on the scan report, he still thinks it is cancer. Looks like maybe a primary lung hermangio sarcoma is also possible. The presence of blood makes them think this - but the fact that it didn't take in much contrast dye during the scan makes them say it is a bit abnormal for a hermangio sarcoma (so holding on to hope it isn't one). We just can't know until we take it out!!!! So i just want it out fast! I wish they could do it sooner! Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers - we appreciate the support of tripawd nation!!!! Keep it up a bit longer - we need a bit more positive energy for the next few days!!!!
Sending you hugs, love, and tons of pawsitive vibes.
You are in our thoughts all the time.
I know it can't be removed quickly enough for you, I am really thrilled that it will be in the next couple of days❤

Oh we are keeping that hope up alright, guaranteed! I know, it must feel like this week is in slow mo for you guys. We have our paws crossed that the mass is just a one-off weird thing (like Wyatt's dental cyst!) and they can zap it out and Kaiserin can get on with being her adorable self. Breathe deep, know that you've got this and your girl is the perfect example to stay calm and balanced. (((hugs)))

Tomorrow is the big day! Kaiserin is having surgery to remove the mass in her lung. There are a lot of unknowns going into surgery. They don't know what kind of cancer the mass is and can't even say for 100% that is it cancer. It is large (3 inches by 3.5 inches) and soft fluid filled mass. They also don't know if they will have to remove any of her lung or if it is in the lining to her lung. I am pretty scared and worried if this is the right thing. She is so happy today, playing and eating just great. It hurts me to know she has to go through this. But there is a big mass there and we need to get it out! Keep sending all your positive thoughts tomorrow. We are strong and hoping we make it out the other side!
Sending huge (((hugs))) Praying for K. Praying for the lesser percentage of 0% -cer. Keeping you all in our thoughts... Schultz... your sis is gonna be ok big boy
All of our Angels are going to be with you. I refuse to think anything else. Not now. Your girl still has too much to show the world.
Much love,
Jackie and Huck

I know you must be soo nervous. I would be too. If you check out that link to Wyatt's dental cyst (above), you'll see the massive thing growing in his gums that had us freaked out. That thing was so evil looking we were certain it was a cancerous tumor. Well it turned out to be kind of like the best-case-scenario cyst you are describing: it was easy to take out and he only lost one tiny tooth. We were prepared for the worst and got the best. I hope with all my heart that Kaiserin is just as fortunate. We will be thinking of all of you so keep us posted! Thanks for checking in.
