My girl lived a happy life. The 14 months we spent with her post amputation were worth it! She was such a joy and we are heartbroken without her. But I know she is happy and whole again in heaven. Coming home to an empty house without my girl there to greet me with her happy dance is gut wrenching but I know with time it will get better. Thank you for all your kind thoughts and words. I appreciate it!
Enjoying a beach day. Begging for chocolate chips (which I happily gave her!) Me and Lil enjoying a sunny day. Ice cream with her boys. Swimming! Park time with the boys. Time with her BFF. More time with her BFF.Ohhhh myyy...this is the best "Happy Tour" a dog could ever have!!
HIJACK ALERT!!! This post is interrupted by a very important message from HAPPY HANNAH at the Bridge!!
"Hi Lily Bear's family! Just want you to know we were all watching Lily Bear's Happiness Tour! When you started giving her chocolate chips and ice cream the entire Bridge family gave you a standing ovation and loud non-stop WOOF WOOFS!!! My mom let me have five M&Ms a day and ice cream too! Actually.....shhhhh....she gave me a bit more than that. She let me eat deer poop without interference! She even looked the other way when I ate cat poop...she did "interfere" after a few chomps though! Anyway, just wanted you to know when we saw Lily Bear headed for the Bridge we had wheelbarrows full of chocolate, ice cream and steak! She apparently hadn't had the pkeasure of eating much deer poop! Well...that is now one of her favorite desserts!!! Okay, gotta go back now! Lily wants me to go for a swim with her. I actually leave that up to the others, I just like to sunbathe and work on my tan!"
Anyway, before I was interruped, just want to say these pictures have me smiling...yeah...through the tears, but still smiling! She really is a happy and well loved girl! The "family pictures....that mug...she is sooooo happy and soooo content!!!
Thank you sooo much for sharing these gloriously happy memories with us today. And I look forward to more!! You still jave some very, very rough times ahead...the void...the break in routine...trying to focus on the thousands and thousands of delightful joyous days rather than the transition. There is no time frame, eventual k y though, the happy memories like the ones above will help the grief lessen.
Please stay connected and continue to tell us more about your sweet girl. She will NEVER be forgotten here...ever! She will continue to inspire through you...and that makes her so proud!!
With love,

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Such beautiful memories with your Lily Bear!! Her pure love for you and her boys shines through in the pictures!
It will be tough right now and I completely understand coming home to an empty house. That was the worst for me and my husband when Leland had to leave us. Just know that we are here to support you in your grief and are here for you anytime you need a shoulder to lean on.

May you finally be healthy and running free at the Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again my sweet boy!
Wowwwww these are so beautiful and heartfelt. You and your boys will remember these times forever, what a lucky girl Lily was to have you for humans. I know she isn't far from your side, she will always be there looking out for the pack.
Thank you for sharing!
