Maxidad wrote a great thread on taking photos of your pups.
There are a couple of things, however, that he did not discuss that one must keep in mind when doing photo-shoots with pugs.
First: the photographer is expected to provide comfortable seating or resting areas for the pug when he or she is not required to be 'on stage'. This is especially true if the pug is not partial to grass. See first photo.
Second: The photographer is expected to provide a shaded resting area for the pug when he or she is not required to be 'on stage'. This is especially true when the pug is black. While meeting this requirement the photographer must continue to provide comfortable seating for the pug who does not like grass. See second photo.
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
I can tell you your first mistake:
Trying to photograph PUGS! How dare you disturb their tranquil daily routine!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
These are great! I'm sure you got good pug shots, but these tell the story. Your dad is a very special man.
Cemil and mom Mary, Mujde and Radzi….appreciating and enjoying Today
That is just too funny. Pug dad's rule!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
LOL! This is all true!! My mom has a fawn pug named Zoe. The other thing that you forgotten to mention is pugs always want to be by you. It is almost impossible to photograph them because they won't sit anywhere where you aren't. If you place them in an area and walk away to photograph them, they will be right behind you trying to catch up!

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
