See! See! See! What I have to go through!  He'd dance on my head while I balance on 3 legs if I didn't growl to keep him away!

Sorry Carmen, we have clearly hijacked your thread smiley . The weather has been beautiful down here in Austin! The lows have been in the 40s while the highs remain in the low 70s. There's hardly a breeze and the sun is shinning bright. That said, I sometimes miss the cold winters of Alaska.

Fortis says hey to everybody. We are going to add to Carmen's list at some point.

That's okay, Brett! I love it! laugh And I'm all over Coopsdad's suggestion of a LIPO party, but not for my neck.

I'm sorry, too, Carmen, but now I have to ask -

How long were you in Alaska, Brett?  Where did you live and how long? Were you oil company or military?  Why ever would you leave Alaska to be in Austin?  We had plans at one point to summer in Alaska and winter in Texas.  It is the one place I really love, that has breathtaking beauty, and brings a sense of peacefulness.  If I'm asking too many questions, just tell me I'm nosey like Comet and I'll understand oh-my

Nosey........never, I'm an open book. I served in the military as a paratrooper and was stationed in Fairbanks (no rude remarks Comet) Much of my training was spent in Kotzebue, Black Rapids Glacier, and Sitka. Sitka is absolutely gorgeous. All of Alaska is. I spent two years there. My father's illness forced me to Florida. I would go back to Alaska in a heart beat if the decision to do so was unanimous smiley Your either a fit for a life in Alaska or your not. I loved it while others hated it..............WIMPS!

I've heard that Alaska is breathtakingly beautiful., Brett.  I know several people who took cruises there (not my idea of a getaway; I'm more inclined to want to seek some sunshine). And I'm also quite happy to say that Edmonton, Alberta is actually warmer than Fairbanks, Alaska today. It's 4F here and 2F there.  laugh

I really like the sound of your weather Carmen... big ice fisherman here. Last year I didnt go at all because Faith and I followed the Iowa Hawkeyes to Miami for the Orange Bowl - and after leaving Cedar Rapids at 13F and landing in Miami at 76 F - spending new years day on hollywood beach at 81 F - ice fishing didnt appeal to me, but this year I have my Iowa blood back and was just sitting here ordering ice fishing stuff online, and thinking about how I wish we had some of your weather here... then I noticed Bretts post and realized we had indeed hijacked your thread...blush  sorry about that... also trying to think of things I can do now that Im getting older to add to your list..... Im having a hard time on that one - I guess I have always kind of marched to my own drums no matter how old I have been clown - but yeah, its 52 F here today - if you would like to send some of yours this way I will send some of ours your way. Coopy loves the cold - he rolls in snow like its is warm spring grass.

Let's place blame where it should be:  Monkeybutt hijacked the post!  Sheesh!

I know several people who took cruises there (not my idea of a getaway; I'm more inclined to want to seek some sunshine).

Me too!  I love warm.  BUT - I took the Alaskan cruise and it was soul cleansing!  OMG it was so moving to be in that country and to see the glaciers was an experience everyone should have once in a lifetime!

No smart remarks Brett but I am keeping a tally.  This is what I have you doing so far in your lifetime:

1. Boxer

2. Olympic Medal Winner

2. Baseball Player

3. Paratrooper

4. Astronaut

5. Pro Bass Fisherman

6. Rock Star

7. Geologist

8. US Ambassador

9. Marathon Runner

10. GQ Model

Have I left anything out?

Yes. I see where the derailment occurred and it was in fact Monkeybutt.

Having said that though, I've learned a heckuva lot:

Brett wears miniskirts.

Brett's had a multi-faceted career in just about everything.

Monkeybutt is rude and shouldn't dance on Comet's head.

Coopsdad likes ICE FISHING. I've never been able to figure the whole ice fishing thing out wink

Cooper has a fat neck and is into lipo.

No worries about the hijacking. That's why these topics get put under Anything Goes. laugh

Plenty more (but I'm not sharing)…………you can delete the Olympic Medal Winner, Astronaut, Rock Star, US Ambassador and without a doubt the GQ Model! Most live boring, safe and unadventurous lives in my opinion smiley

How is this for a MonkeyButt! (Sorry Fortis, not your best side)
