Try not to view this as the end. We were all here, in our physical form, but for a moment in time. Ruby's spirit shall forever be by your side... Peace.

Everyone else has already said all that can be said. I am so, so sorry you are losing your Ruby. But it sounds like she has told you clearly that she is ready and you have heard what she has to say. You are meeting her, on her terms, to help her over the bridge. There is no more truer love than that, even though it hurts so badly. All I can do is send you peace, love, and strength. You will get through this.

Ditto Polly and Pam..well said.
Push all other thoughts aside other than focusing on being with Ruby. To focus on doubt, regret, etc. Is just another way this piece of crap disease tries to do harm. Don't let it!
Even those of us who KNEW it was the RIGHT time and KNEW to continue on would only risk things getting worse, still allowed seco d guessing to creep in. That's just being human. Let it go. It serves no purpose and Ruby would NOT want you spe ding one second of your energy on those thoughts. There is nothing to regret when you release Ruby from her body that no longer serves her. She is making the decision for you by telling you she ks ready.
You can call and see when the vet can come to your house...and you can always cancel. When the vet came to the house for Happy Hannah, I had already instructed them to come knto the house in a joyful state. This was going to be a celebratory attitude. Happy Hannah wagged and enjoyed the pawty atmosphere. I kept it together as well as anyone could under the circumstances. I owed her that. And you love Ruby that much. Afterwards.......unbearable grief. And the community was here for me because they understood. And we will be here for you because we understand.
We have the Tripawd Helpline number available now. I'll be on duty.. Please call. 1 -844-tripawds We're here with you.
Surrounding you with love and peace
