Thank you all so much for your kind words and happy juju-filled thoughts. I am glad to report that all is well here. For those of you who may not remember, Ginger's Mom had brain surgery a little over a month ago to help with her headaches that she has suffered from for ten years. Take a look at our blog for more details on her diagnosis. After her surgery, the headaches themselves seemed a bit better but she grew increasingly sensitive on the back of her head, where it hurt really bad. Yesterday, the surgeon went back in to clean her out. There was the beginnings of an infection, and some "bone dust" that remained in her head that was causing a lot of inflammation. They flushed her out really well and closed her back up again. So now we are back home and she is resting comfortably. Here is the great news. The surgeon says that everything looks great for a full recovery, and Annie says she can already tell a difference. She thinks the surgery has worked, meaning she hopefully won't have those darn headaches anymore.
Thanks again for everybody's support,
Ginger and her Dad

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
