Oh yeah, we've got some mug shots that are just waiting to be smooched!!!
Okay...this was a boo-boo. So it's a "neck shot" waiting to be smooched! Finest neck in the land!!
Happy Hannah just 'a beggin' for smooches n this one!
Happy Hannah and I are holding fairly steady and that means her quality is still good for her "new normal".. She's a little bummed attitude wise because of the awful weather. The stupid darn crusty ice on top of the snow just makes it so miserable and so dangerous!! And it looks like everything will stay frozen for another week here! Patience is not one of my virtues right now. We need sunny days over here darnit!!
Still tires easily, but again, resting and gettng tummy rubs and waited on hand and foot doesn't bother her!
Still eating her mealsgood, just not begging 24/7. But we're good with that.
The breathing pattern changes pop up more frequently now. Her "normal" pattern is a little more noticeale as far as breathing with a little more effort. Again, at this point it's not compromisng her over-all quality. I think because it has come on somewhat bradually, she's adjusted without causing her distress.
I have stared giving her 75 mg. of Tramadol at night sometimes when those "breathing episodes" become more apparent...that seems to work.
I "think" I'm going to try the wash-out period off Proxicam and onto Pred. I was so "wishy-washy"...yeah..pun...about which one to go with..and still am...the "in-between time" with nothing scares me. UGH!
As long as Happy Hannah is HAPPY and the good FAR outweighs the "less good", we're continuing on!! She's telling me with all her tail wags still pretty much non-stop, she's very happy and, at this point, wants to continue on soaking up all the loving and spoiling that she's enjoying so mich!!
Because of the nvaluable love and support of each of you, I'm able to be fully present with her and not waiver in my commitment to her to let NOTHING rob usof our sacred gift of time! I'm not saying y stomach isn't a jumbled mess of nerves somerimes, but I'm acutely aware when that happens and am able to whack myself back knto shape!! My "technique" is to do so ething to make Hapy Hannah wag her tail.....which is sooooo easy...and BOOM...all is good!
And you know what else I do? I go back and read yor wonderful notes of love and encouragement on some of the threads I started when all this started happening...and the the dialogue on the thread my hero Michelle started ! So, even though haven't responded to each of you yet as I intended.....you have empowered me to move forward on this gut wrenching emotional part of this journey..
Okay my dear friends, the tail is a' thumpin' and that means Happy Hannah is ready for some ore rummy rubs!!
LOVE TO YOU! I mean it!!
Sally and HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY HANNAH
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Sally, Happy Hannah has such a beautiful, definitely kissable face....So glad to hear she is holding steady, and doing as well as she can be, and I truly hope it stays that way for a very long time. I love the pics!
Always keeping you and her in my thoughts....
Love and hugs,
Bonnie & Angel Polly
I definitely want to smooch that face! What a great pawrent you are. You are so tuned in to Happy Hannah and to all changes in her symptoms, no matter how big or small. Fantastic. I understand your nervousness about the wash out time. You will make a decision that is right for you both.
Hugs,
Amy & Libby
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

I like your coping tactics when things get stressful or you get your stomach in knots! I will try that w/Shelby since she's always up for a good tail wag!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Oh Sally! I have not been in here for a while. Like so many other times when I got in to the forum and red your words it just puts a smile on my face I can just say as others here that you are a fantastic mommy to Hannah! I think I said it before but I say it again..you have given and give us all so much hope, love, laugh, good thoughts, encouragement and so on. It sounds like Hannah still is doing fine. I wish you all the best and Wilbur and Bellis are sending hugs and kisses to Hannah <3

Okay...I'm having trouble holding Tuck back from the computer screen.
That third one...wow...what a smoochable face
Sounds like the lovely Miss Happy Hannah is still enjoying life to the fullest.
Sometimes we have to remember to live in the present...because the future is not a promise...for any of us!
Thanks for the reminder to do this....
Hugs and kisses

Aww, those eyes are giving Mav a run for his money! Such a sweet face she has, and how could you not wait on her hand and foot with a look like that? Great update!

Yippeeee! We really needed this upbeat update today Sally, thank you for letting us know that life is good. I LOVE that photo of you and Hannah, it just says so much about the love inside your hearts.
Your treatment plan sounds like it makes a lot of sense. If she needs a NSAID for arthritis pain, there are lots of other options out there that will help her feel better....like ice cream!
