OMG !!!! SO CUTE!!! I love puppies!!!! What is his name????
I went from blond to a black & tan too. 🙂
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Wanda!!!! I'm so happy for you! Yes, we need details and more pics!

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly. His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

We went from black to yellow!
What is the new little guy's name? It looks as if he will definitely NOT be a little guy for too long. Ahhhh...puppy breath and those toes that smell like crackers!
Congratulations!
Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel...and the Labradork
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
So we struggled with the name --- he is SO BLACK. It's hard to get a good picture! BLACK fur, black nails, black nose. We went with Joe (like a cup of black coffee "joe"). He and his siblings were about ~3-4 weeks old in the middle of a yard out in the cold long enough that the Nelson County animal control came and took them. So, they were fed formula for a little while and then soft food. They really didn't have a momma to socialize (read: correct) them so they were pretty wild playing and growling with each other when we went to check them out. Joe was the most mellow of the three males, and the cutest... 🙂 So, he has had all of us to himself and we have been loving and snuggling and playing with him for the last 24+ hours. He's pretty sweet.. and YES, puppy breath, frito smelling toes, and very very sharp little teeth. He's also a little heater - he's been napping on my chest and is 12 pounds of dead weight and heat! Can you tell my joy meter is a little higher today? 🙂 Thank you all for your excitement and good wishes!
That is so super duper puppy awesome Wanda! He sounds so cute. And I so miss the snuggles of puppies. (My girls aren't big snugglers). We can't wait to see more pics and hear about all his puppy antics.
Congrats on the new addition,
Karma, Adelaide and the pack, and always with our angel Brendol
Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury. Her amp was on 10/1/12. She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera. We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.
You can read their stories at http://adelaide.tripawds.com and http://brendol.tripawds.com

Good luck with the pictures- I've had 4 solid black dogs in a row before Elly. I don't think I got a good picture until they aged some and got some white on their faces!
Welcome Joe!
