Well. ..I swear i never planned on getting another dog so soon after we lost chuck. I swear. It all started with the two Chihuahuas we almost fostered but thankfully ended up not needing our house and got to stay with their family. But my husband got so excited about having dogs again so began my petfinder obsession. We are so committed to adopting this time around. Then came an adoption gone, well, gone. I was totally left in the dark with one adoption. And the obsession got worse, as I found the puppy that was eventually lost to surgery complications. Then I got a random phone call from that rescue saying they had a young saint randomly fall into their hands, and would would I be interested? Well, of course. I'd take cujo in at this point. Then I waited and waited and petfinder obsessed. And saw the girl they wanted to adopt to me on petfinder. Ugh. I thought I was being blown off again. In the meantime I didn't realize a friend of my husband's cousin was hard at work for us and hada saint lined up for us to apply for. Which I did. .To wake up this morning to an email from the original rescue saying they posted the info on petfinder as protocol for me to see and I could pick her up sat if I wanted. And her name listed on petfinder? Betty. Sorry karma Lolol so with this news I'm not posting anything official until I have a car full of slime. But holy moly fingers toes paws ears eyes and 3 legs crossed that there are no more hiccups in this process. But I'm greatful for every single person hunting down saints and sending them to Chicago for me lol. I was not at all prepared for how exhausting the rescue process is but I know it'll be worth it. As much as I've almost given up on the whole process it's good to know there were people looking out for us the whole way.....now. pray for a slimy car ride home on Saturday for us once and for all OK?
The ever delirious Lori her very saintly angel chuck
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhh can't wait till I read your post on Saturday!!!!! crossing fingers for you and a few other things thanks to gravity!!!

Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury. Her amp was on 10/1/12. She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera. We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.

Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Ohhhhhh man! Talk about a different kind of roller coaster ride! Wheeeeew! I've got butterflies in m tummy for you...REALY! I'm just sooooo hoping this works out!
OMD...the 'Betty" thing...a Bernard needing a loving home...the timing right before Cristmas. this HAS to be it!! It HAS to be!
Okay Lori...I've got this "feeling"...yeah...I think the other one you applied for will be coming through! I'm just saying.....:
Maybe Chuck's plan all along was for you to get TWO!!! YAAAAAAY for two!!
I'm thinking maube he gave you a couple of false starts to test and see if you were ready. And now, clearly he thinks you are.
Come on TWO!! Betty needs a dog companion!! And then he can be named after Grandpa! Have you asked what his name is? Hey, even ifit's Cujo, take him! I always felt sorry for poor Cujo:
O,ay Lori, all paws are crossed over here! It is ti e! Is there anyway we can see her n the petf ders site? And your second dog's picture too!
We love you! Come on Saint Chuck...make this happen!

Yah definately not celebrating til we actually have the right dog and he or she is in our home, just hoping that spewing some positive vibes out there sends some positive energy back lolol. Either way, at least I know there are a lot of people out there looking out for me. I did talk to the rescue about the boy this morning that my husbands cousins friend found is. He's a 9 month old already as big as chuck, with the physicality of a 9 month old puppy, so small kids won't work with him. Which is totally fine by me. It was when I was being blown off by rescues that I started getting discouraged, just because I just wanted to know if I should keep looking. I don't mind looking for months and months, I just didn't want to be lied to then ignored. Then the whole puppy dying thing really threw me. If for some reason this doesn't work out Saturday then I'm taking a break for a while. Lol these last two prospects found me, but I'll tell everyone to not look for me for a while. So fingers crossed, and if it's not ment to be at least let the letdown be gentle. Like, no dying puppies, don't bite my face of when I'm meeting her, that sorta thing lol positive positive positive : D
