Well - not really but - I did!!!!!

Its been a really tough 6 weeks for me but I am MUCH better now.....

My tail stopped wagging in the middle of June and I went to see the vet and they seemed to think a doggy chiropractor was the answer so we did that a couple times...The nice vet lady put me on some way cool pain medicine that made me feel like I was 100 % better but I really wasn't...To make matters worse, I decided to run up a little itty bitty hill and ended up pulling the muscles in my chest and since I only have one leg in the front - things got way bad from there...They gave me even more really great medicine which made my pee and poo in my bed (and made my mom cry) and I couldn't move for like 2 weeks cuz it hurt so much.....

And if that wasn't enough, we went back to the nice lady vet and she said my organs (whatever those are) were shutting down....

Apparently, that must have been REALLY bad cuz my mom started crying and didn't stop for a week - it wasn't pretty!!!!!!

They said I probably wouldn't get much better - BUT I DID!!!! I AM BACK !!!! I AM STILL HERE !!!! AND I CAN BARK AT THE NEIGHBORS ALL I WANT!!!!

Riley 8-14-11

This is me today when my mom said I didn't have to have a bath after all....

So, that's my story and since I am still here - I really think I am a winner!!!!!

We KNOW you are a winner, Riley!  You're back and on top of that - NO BATH!  How cool is that?

Abby says: "whoohoo for the no bath thing! And way to go, bark at those stupid neighbors! We have new neighbors and I don't know what they are up to over there, but I am very very very suspicious of them so I bark at them GOOD every chance I get! Wish I could come over and help you bark at your neighbors! We would show them.

Glad the nice lady was wrong about you not getting better. You look pawesome!

Hugs and kisses,
Abby"

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Oh Riley!  You look pretty darned good to me!

And I think that your mom did hit the lottery!  I know as a mom, I'd take good health of a furbaby over the lottery any day!  As the old saying goes, "If you have your health, you have everything!"

But maybe the vet said meant this kind of organ was shutting down!   You never know what is in the back of a  vet's office!  Those rooms are like forbidden!  There may be an organ and it may have been shutting down!

Well, no matter  – I'm so happy to hear you are doing well!  We hope your achy muscles get better soon!

Glad the doctor was wrong and that you are feeling so much better!  Keep up the good work and keep your eyes on those neighbors--it keeps you alert.  You look really happy after getting the news that you got a reprieve on the bath thing.cool
