I decided to take my little Zuzu out for a road trip today, and of course had to go to PetSmart for a few needed supplies...We were meeting and greeting many furry friends when all of a sudden I turned to greet a new little adorable dog, and noticed in less than 3 seconds that she was a Tripawd, and she had lost the same leg that Polly did. Her sweet young lady mom told me that Bella is a rescue, is almost 2 years old, and had been hit by a car, and that was how she lost her leg. We chatted for a bit, I told her all about my Polly, and also for her to check out this amazing community, and then asked her if I could post Bella's picture here and she said yes.
What a little cutie her Bella is, and I do hope at some point she does check out this great community we have here!
Love to all,
Bonnie, Angel Polly, and new crew
Oh she's so cute!!!!! We have a Tripawd in the hood that I've seen a couple times. Also lost their leg due to a car accident. I saw them months ago and mentioned Shelby...
It's funny .. .almost a year after Shelby's passing and over a year and 3 months after her amputation, I still find myself "counting" legs on dogs! I wonder if that will ever stop!
So adorable ... and JL loves Petco too... she likes the snuggles!
Hugs,
alison with the spirit of shelby fur-ever in her heart (and little jasper too)

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Awww! I hope we get to meet her here. Isn't it great when you can connect with someone so well, over something so difficult? The Tripawd journey really does touch every part of your life from here on out.
