OMGOSH!!! Gorgeous!!! Such pretty/shiny coat. I know your heart must be just bursting right now with love for this precious giant.
Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Oh geez Angel, are you gonna be a foster failure? How could you let this guy go? A little thin, yes, but the most beautiful boy! And his eyes and expression! If I were a girl dog, I'd be swooning.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Oh, wait a handsome baby! Those eyes!
Poor kid is so skinny. I know he'll good as new soon under your care.
Rita sends him a nose-poke,(although she would only come up to his elbow...)

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Well there's Dupree!! Isn't he beautiful!! I am really bad with putting the pictures on here. It is so confusing to me. I always have to get my 12 year old daughter to help me lol. He is alot skinnier in person than he looks in the pictures. He only weighs 106 lbs and he is 35 or 36 inches tall at the shoulder. That is around the same size as Valentina was and she was 150lbs. But I am going to fatten him up. He just loves to eat too. He did pee in my house once but that's ok I just keep taking him out alot and giving him treats when he goes outside. He has scabs all over him from the ticks. Poor Dupree. I am still picking dead ticks out of his fur. I am going to give him a bath as soon as he is more comfortable here. I tried to clean his ears today and he acted like he had never had it done before. But I did manage to clean them some by pretending to scratch his ears for him. He also doesn't seem to know any commands. He doesn't know sit or lay down. He responds to No a little. First I am trying to teach him his name since the shelter just did name him. He is responding sometimes to his name if I have treats of course. He is a very sweet boy and I am so happy to be able to help him. He is already following me around everywhere I go. Thank you so much everybody for being excited with me. Doing this means so much to me and having people that understand is a blessing!!
Ohhhhhhhhhh! I am in LOVE! What a handsome boy! I have always wanted a Mantle Dane! Dupree, you are a lucky boy to have a foster momma like Angel, she will get some meat on those bones of yours in no time! Does he give you Dane leans and lounge on the couch yet? Something tells me this boy's days on the run are over. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures, I've been sooooo excited to see them.

Dane Mom Sue at nova.tripawds.com and Mom to Beautiful Great Dane Queen Nova, a Blind Tripawd, who kicked cancer's butt from 11/08-03/13. The Queen is Spirit Nova now, but her legacy lives on here at Tripawds!
Oh my-- he is gorgeous-- such a handsome face-- he looks a little sad, but that will change when he realizes he's won the foster lottery! You must be over the moon to have him-- well worth the wait, I'd say.
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
