Objecting to the characterization, but loving the opportunity:

We got a call from a friend of our dogwalker.  They are looking for "a limping dog" for their short film.  I explained that Ajax does NOT limp, but rather beautifully and gracefully hops, but the filmmaker is not troubled by the distinction.

So we will be picked up by a car service to travel down to the West Village a week from Friday and "shoot Ajax's scenes"

Too funny.

I would also like to report:

-- only one more month of the palladia/prednisone routine (and the starving Labrador) and all is clear

-- we are being "merged out" of our apartment building, which is 1 1/2 blocks from Central Park, which sent me into a tailspin as I envisioned Ajax's whole walk in the summer being on city cement blocks because we couldn't find an apartment in as good a location as ours.  I am thrilled to report, that we are actually moving 1/2 block CLOSER to the park.  Although there were a zillion applicants for the apartment, the CEO of the large management company is a self-proclaimed "dog person" - we think Ajax's reference and his Tripawd story got us in!

Ajax's talents are impressive! I'm sure he will steal the scene — and I know what you mean about the "graceful hop." How can one resist the smiling face and flopping ears of a happy tripawd? Please let us know the name of the short so we can say we know the star!

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.

We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
