We got a sad thing in the mail today - Abby's license renewal. 🙁
But, we also got a FUN thing in the mail today - Monkey Me Elmo. You can see pics of MBBunny Rita sporting the ears (and begging for meatballs!) here.
This is such a perfect reminder of why we love the Tripawds community - just when you feel sad, someone makes you laugh!
Jackie, Angel Abby (who, in the word's of charon, says "License, Schmicense!"), and MBBunny Rita (who says "Can I have another meatball??")
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Calling the town to let them know not to send me Lupe's license renewal next year is on the list, just not ready to do it...but I also don't want it coming in the mail and having to check off the "Deceased" box. So major hugs for you Jackie!
As for the MB Elmo tour, that is AWESOME! The Tripawd Barney tour made me smile when I found out about it and got me thinking of where I could have taken Barney in and around Boston. Make sure MB Rita enjoys her time with Elmo 🙂
This community can sure make you smile when you least expect it!!!

Diagnosed with possible synovial cell sarcoma of right front elbow 5/31/12. Amputation surgery performed 6/7/12. Final diagnosis of histiocytic cell sarcoma 6/11/12. Her soul and spirit were strong, her body was not...my little girl earned her wings 6/14/12. Ohh Abby worked her magic! So glad that it made you smile, because it sure made us smile too.
Well, I think that is just darn adorable. We need to have a Barney versus Elmo Throwdown event at some point!

An Elmo versus Barney throw down would be totally pawesome.
Although the stench alone coming off of Barney would put Elmo at a serious disadvantage. In my opinion, Elmo needs to build up some more stank before he'll be ready to accept that challenge!

I got to sort of choke up in public. I went down to license Obie and they asked about Tani and Maggie...
Oh, it's my meatball eating Monkeygirl with Monkeyme Elmo! I can't wait to see all the excitment!
When I first read this I thought it said "I can't wait to see all the excrement!" Seemed a little gross even for MBBVP.
