At the age of six, Meadow developed a malignant mast cell tumour directly on his rabies vaccination site. The tumour on his rear right thigh left dirty margins and he eventually died after repeated surgeries and when the cancer metastasized. His companion, Kris L. Christine became a pet vaccine disclosure advocate/activist and the Rabies Challenge Fund is Meadow's legacy.
Here is the website on the challenge studies to extend the legally required interval for the rabies vaccine to 5 and 7 years: https://www.rab.....nd-friends
What's most exciting is that the data has been collected and being assessed! And the 35 study dogs are healthy, well-adjusted and living with their new families!
