Hi everyone! I just referred someone your way (still do after all these years) and figured I was overdue for a login! I hope you and your tripawds are all doing fabulously. Life here keeps on trucking. I'm sure I updated you all on my adoption of sweet Fizzgig in 2021, the boy who reminded me so much of Loki at the time. He is just an absolute baby to this day. I've since adopted two cats (Ciri and Finch), one of whom had a feeding tube for awhile but is now thriving. I also adopted another doggo named Olive who has the exact opposite personality of her late brother! She's just a constant whirlwind of chaos, but of course I love her. I always keep my eyes out for tripawds, although I think I've got quite the full house at the moment. Besides Fizzgig, Olive, Finch, and Ciri, I've still got Phineas, Figaro, and Moo who are happy and healthy!icon_razz In any event, I think of you all often, and I still get a little teary-eyed when I tell people just how much you all helped us get through those early days with Loki becoming a tripawd.

Lots of love,

Brittnie and the Wanderlust family sp_hearticon2

I loved life as a tripawd for over three years following right forelimb amputation due to an aggressive and recurrent hemangiopericytoma. I reclaimed my place among the gods and valkyries in Valhalla on November 11th, 2020. My parents miss me tremendously, but I know they'll keep me in their hearts forever... and don't worry, I've approved my mom's use of my Tripawds account.

Brittnie! It is so good to hear from you! Thank you for stopping by to let us know how the crew is doing. Frizzgig's name make me lol! icon_lolSo remind me, how did you come up with that adorable monicker?

OK, I get why mayyyyybe taking on a Tripawd is a bit much for the pack right now. Talk about a full house! Sounds like my kinda party though, and I'm totally jealous since I can't fit all of that fur into our little doghouse on wheels.Ā

I see that you posted in Loki's blog, and I can't wait to take a look in the morning. We are on the road this week and doing a lot of driving/sitting so I'll finally have a minute to dive in and see what else you and your sweet angel Loki have been up to.Ā

And also just want to say, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your years of generous support! It's just incredibly touching to be part of your world after all this time and we feel your loving energy and enthusiasm from afar. I also appreciate your sending folks here, although as you know, this is the club nopawdy wants to join so it's really bittersweet too. I hope that whoever you sent found comfort in our little circle of furmily.

Thanks again for swinging by and checking in! sp_hearticon2sp_hearticon2sp_hearticon2

Haha yeah things are wild 24/7 around here. It's a small house but we make do! I hope you like the blog post! It's just a little update on life with lots of pictures. And Fizzgig's name comes from a character in the Dark Crystal, a Jim Hensen movie from the 80s! He's a little furball with a giant mouth, and he's the true hero of the story. smiley4

Ā

I'm so happy I'm able to stay connected with you all, even if Loki's only here in spirit. You all do such wonderful work!

Ohhh THAT's really cool about his name! As a Jim Henson fan you'd appreciate this show (produced by his son I believe) that my niece just went to see. Apparently it's ROTFL hilarious!

Of course you are still part of this community, always! Once a Tripawds member, always a Tripawds member. And honestly, having Loki here in spirit is equally powerful, there are so many folks who undoubtedly find his story comforting and helpful!

OK going to check out the post now šŸ™‚
