This afternoon, Jim, Rene & Wyatt took time from their travels to stop by for a visit with Rusty.  We told Rusty this morning that they would be stopping by and he anxiously waited for their arrival; he was so excited to meet Jim & Rene (they decided that bringing Wyatt in might be to much for Rusty) and immediately recognized that they are special people for their love of Tripawds.  We spent a relaxing afternoon discussing Rusty, Jerry, Wyatt, cancer treatments and Tripawds in general.  It was really nice to meet the wonderful people who have brought so much support to those of us battling canine cancer in our loved ones.   It's obvious that they are very dedicated to their cause and the Tripawds site.

Thanks Jim, Rene & Wyatt for taking the time to stop by!  Rusty was exhausted after the excitement of your visit.

Chuck, Jan, Rusty and Oliver (our British Short Hair cat)

PS; it was one year ago today that our original vet informed us that she thought that Rusty might have cancer.  It has been an an incredible year for us, both positive and negative, and we thank everyone for Rusty's support.  His one year Ampuversary will be on the 25th; I will post a big shout out and update his cancer chronicles.

Rusty is a Labradoodle who was diagnosed with level 3 Fibrosarcoma on January 16th, 2010 and had his left hind leg amputated on January 25th, 2010 five days before his 18 month birthday. Please see Rusty's blog @rusty.tripawds.com.  He is putting up one heck of a fight against this terrible disease.

How wonderful that you all got to meet.  And how wonderful that Rusty will be soon celebrating his 1 year ampuversary!  We will be waiting with anticipation to celebrate this huge milestone with you.  So very cool for such a cool surfer tripawd.......way to go Rusty!!

Kami, Angel Mackenzie and Kobe

My sweet golden Mackenzie.  She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2  although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home.  She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009.  She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes.  I love you Mackenzie!

Hoooooray for tripawd pawties!!!  Or would this be a pawrent pawty, technically?  Eh, technicalities Pawesome regardless!

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.

He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com

Little tripawd dogs override monkeybuttness laughing  Rusty is definitely a cutie! (and Monkeybutt-bunny is definitely a monkeybutt)

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.
