I hesitated a long while before sharing the news. We are looking at this beautiful girl as a new buddy for Duke. She is in a foster home in Illinois. Was rescued from horrible living conditions. She was covered in fleas and is currently being vetted. She is on Baytril for the flea bite infection and has to be given all her puppy shots before she can get a health certificate for transport. The only deal breaker at this point would be discovering the bites are actually allergies. With me planning to retire in the next 4 years, we cannot afford another allergy dog as chronic as Miss T. She is 7 months old and 37 pounds, so I'm thinking she will be a relatively small pittie. When I first saw her face I cried, and each time I looked at the photo the first couple of days, I cried. Charon and others have told me Trouble sent her to me. I hope they are right.
She will never take Trouble's place, but we have the opportunity to help one more have a great life. It was a hard decision, but we are going for it.
Meet Emmi
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
I love her! She is adorable and her name is sweet! Are you going to keep the name? When do you get to bring her home?
We all know that our dogs in our lives are irreplaceable. There will never be another Trouble, Sammy, Fortis, Comet, Cooper, etc. But the dogs that come into our lives after will be just as unique in their own way, and our love with them will be different, something we only share with them.
I have personally witnessed a huge amount of homeless dogs and cats lately. The factors are the economy, circumstances, whatever. The fact that you are giving a sweet looking Pittie a home when so many are being put down is wonderful. It is a miracle for her, and a life saver. That is a fact, you are saving her life! I send hugs and happy tears, thank you for giving this one a shot 🙂 Give us all many looks into her world when she gets home.

Oh Shauna. She is beautiful. Emmi may have had a neglectful life so far, but those eyes are just waiting for all the love you can give her.

Oh Shanna - she is just precious! Those eyes - that beautiful face! I hope that it works out for you and Emmi. And you know that Trouble definitely had a hand in this one. She would be so lucky to have you as you would be so lucky to have her. A wonderful gift. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that she is the one for you.
Sending lots of golden hugs,

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Oh Shanna,
I'm so, so happy for you and Bob! How could you ever resist!!!???? She looks so beautiful! I think Duke is going to love her! I know you and Bob already do!
We are going to have some fun now!!!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
