i havent been around for a few days as Sarge is having more "issues" his latest is a massive ear infection, antibiotics and antiinflamitries till thursday then the vet is going to try and clean his ear out. had to muzzle him at the vet clinic as it was causing him so much pain but the brave boy didnt even show it till you touched his head then he got real grumpy. this must be the 3rd ear infection in the last 12 months or so arghhhh!
Ear infections are no fun. I hope he gets better soon.

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
Owwwwww! Poor Sarge.
I hear that ear problems can be due to a chronic yeast infection, is this what he's got?

Jackie, Angel Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Maggie was prone to ear infections- and bad ones. If her ear was slightly pink in the morning, it would be fire-engine red by the afternoon. We finally resorted to putting something called conifite lotion (really drops) in her ears every day. It had some type of drying agent in it. I was able to back off eventually to twice a week. But if I went longer she was sure to get an infection.
I hope Sarge is feeling better soon!

Poor Sarge. Scout suffered from chronic ear infections-- he had very yeasty ears. I did notice a huge improvement when we switched to home-cooked foods (grain free -- just meat and veggies)-- so maybe tweak his diet?
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
Feel better Sarge. No fun going through that.
