Thank you! Thank you!
The MOST irresistable part of him isn't even captured! He smiles when he sees you. He did the first time we saw him! I tried once to get it and here it is and you have to look fast.

Comet is adorable. I understand what you are going through. Our first dog was quirky and we had difficulties with him, similar to what you describe with Rocket. I wish I could help you, but I live in IL, and we can't have a third dog 🙁 He is adorable and I know my kids would love him.

Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.
Sammy does that, he smiles just like that. I love your boy, I know that you will find a great forever home for him. Hang in there, I bet it hurts big time but there has to be relief too, and that is okay. I learned something this week. You know that little foster boy I had, he was the perfect dog for me. We connected, we loved. I learned that he was the perfect dog for me, but not the perfect dog for my life. That is huge and it will cause heart ache if you don't listen to it. You are doing a good thing.
I wish so much that my big boy liked other dogs. I love this little scruffy love bug 🙂

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Thank you guys! You are the greatest!
Cosmo is one of those dogs that turns heads and everyone falls in love with.
He is still here. Two of our neighbors thought long and hard about him because he is just so cute and in both cases they don't have dogs. But their current circumstances made it impossible. (one travels and the other is caretaking their elderly parent in their home)
So, maybe the right person will come along.

Ge'Lena - I'm so sorry the boys are fighting. I had friends who went through the same thing with their 2 big dogs - so I have a lot of empathy for your situation.
I wish I could take Cosmo. Not sure how he'd adjust to this cold Northern climate after being a thin-blooded Vegas dog though! My housing situation is too unstable - I am not able to take in anybody at this point. If I end up renting ... which seems very likely very soon ... I'm not sure what I'll do with my 18 and 14 year old cats.
I'll certainly ask around - and keep an ear open for anyone who could offer Cosmo a forever home.

"Going Dog" def: living every day in the moment
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."

Thank you KaCee!
I have gone back and forth on getting a behaviorist. But I've heard good and also bad about having one. If I thought deep down it would work long term without me having to worry day in and day out, I'd do it in a heart beat!
I bet Riley would like a little baby brother!!!! And I'm sure Cosmo would really like camping!

I'm happy and yet sad, Cosmo has found a furever and wonderful home! He's going to be so happy!
He's here 'til Friday since they have to leave for a few days and will be back and get him. It’s a young couple that got married 3 weeks ago. They fell in love with him and spent about an hour with him today. He loved them too and just cuddled and loved on them! The guy is an Iraq vet and is going to school on the GI bill and will be home a lot.
They are a precious and adorable couple and Cosmo is going to be their little fur baby!
