You guys are awesome! And hey, no talking about me ..............I'm sensitive you know. Besides, I'm sure Fortis' mom would have nothing but marvelous things to say about me

What an absolutely perfect gift. This - the community of people who get tattoos of 3 paws, and memorial tattoos to their beloved pawed family members, who sleep on the floor for weeks on end because they can't bear to leave their furry family member downstairs alone, is there anything this group would NOT do??
I might just be getting me a tattoo (somewhere) of Fortis in the near future. There must be a parlor somewhere along the AT I will be keeping my eyes peeled.

brett, it's a date. i have a GREAT tattoo artist here in knoxville - he did my paw prints and the prints on don's arm too. bring a picture, and i'm sure we'll get you set up. it will be a nice break for you to spend a day or two with us, a real bed, a shower, geesh, we can't wait!!!

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.

I can't believe that I missed this post - the necklace is just beautiful. Gorgeous. Perfect. So incredibly thoughtful of Pattie. What a true treasure you have and a true treasure you have with Pattie. So glad that you shared this. Just beautiful.

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!

Pattie certainly is a treasure. I'm not sure why really but I truly have been very fortunate in my life in so many ways. For me, it was the perfect gift at the perfect time.
Remember to give thought to the seemingly insignificant and quiet times spent with your pups. These are the times I most remember now. These are the times I most miss..........all those times we spent together just being. I gained so much from this journey and I have Fortis to thank for that. My prayers are with you all.
