There is also a wonderful video clip from American Choppers on Senior and Gus, the english mastiff that was on the show.  He had bone cancer and lived a little over a year.   The video is of Seniors reaction to losing his boy, and how much he loved him.  I can't for the life of me figure out how to post that one!

"The pure joy of the moment"...I love that part.  That's what I've learned from Tate.  Thanks for posting, Elizabeth, that is beautiful.

We all know that our tripawds and our quadpawds are not JUST dogs, they are family.  Just like that movie shows.

-Chloe's mom

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog

Boy does this ring so true...how many of us have been told by our friends or family that "it's only just a dog".  Just think of what they're missing....just a dog.  Thanks for sharing this Elizabeth.  It's really very touching and special.

My sweet golden Mackenzie.  She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2  although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home.  She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009.  She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes.  I love you Mackenzie!

This is so true! There have been days when my only reason to get up in the morning was "just a dog." I LOVE my girls!
