Zeffie! I seriously think my mommy hates me too when I go to the vet! I hate the vet! And I hate the vet techs! They act sweet but they are the one that cut my toenails!
Okay, this is coming from my mommy in regards to buttkiss issues as she told me all about Comet's buttkiss issues. I guess it happens to Tripawds too but as you know...they tons of attention for the slightest issues.
Mommy said Comet's ruptured and she had them cleaned out. But then it happened again and she didn't let them clean them out again, she made them remove them. She said the cleaning out was a waste of money since Comet had to be knocked out just to clean them. For a little more money, she could have had them removed. And did the next time. It was an easy surgery....Mommy said.
Now, I'm not suggesting surgery Zeffie! I'm just telling you what mommy has said! Mommy talks about Comet's "issues" all the time as if she is on loop! "Comet this, Comet that...blah, blah, blah!" So, it's a story I have had to endure. (before my time here)
Here's to a comfy Monkeybutt!
I don't know if you remember but Bud had that stinky nub that was determined to be of the same kind of problem....
He however didn't seem to be all that upset about the "treatment" guess once you wake up missing a leg ...what's a bit of squeezing....and well..... he is a boy..so not as likely to be embar....assed
As for me, the memory of the dogtor and his pregnant wife on all fours sniffing my Bud's aroma ...well... I shouldn't but it still makes me giiggle!
Maybe someday Zephyr and her mamma will be able to have a giggle but not today ...take thosemeds and feel better soon!
I forgot about Bud's stinky nub... The part that cracked me up was when Zephyr literally had all four feet up on the wall, trying to run away...
She's feeling a bit better today. The warm compresses -- while not completely appreciated by her -- seem to be helping a bit. She's not as scootchy and hasn't been licking, so I haven't had to resort to the cone of shame .
Ah, the drama these dogs love to create for us...

Zephyr, Macklin said to tell you it helps if you just stick your butt to the wall every time you walk in a doctor's office. He thinks every office he's in that someone wants to take his butt temp so he just stares at people with his butt glued to the wall. It's become bad.....he did it at every one of Sam's chemo appointments so he actually thinks it works....he doesn't realize they were not his appointments...sigh. Feel better Zeph!
Eeeeeew! Poor Zeff!
OK, I'm telling ya, it's the fiber. That's what I read, really! You gotta have more of it. More pumpkin in your food, maybe some metamucil, or how about some bran flakes. Raw meaty bones too. Anything to get things moving along and keep your butt from getting pinched!
I hope you never have to get that done again. It made me go "yikes!" just hearing about it!
