Hello everyone
It has been a long time since I posted, so firstly I must apologise for this.
I wanted to let you know that Yasmin has reached her one year Ampuversary. Since Yasmin's diagnosis of fibrosarcoma just over a year ago, she has had ups and downs but has made it through and not only is she still with us, but she has an excellent quality of life. She runs just as fast as she ever did, jumps up to greet me when I get home from work, splashes and plays in her paddling pool and really enjoys life.
We have recently added 2 runner ducks and 2 silkie chickens to our little family and Yasmin loves to sit in the garden guarding them all day. Her favourite is Snowdrop (one of the silkies). Unfortunately, Snowdrop doesn't like the attention that Yasmin pays her and frequently pecks Yasmin on the nose when she has had enough of her! Yas never learns
I hope that if you are where we were a year ago, lost, scared and unsure about the future for your fur baby, you find this post and see that there can be a really positive outcome.
We learned to adapt, as did Yasmin. She is happier now than she has ever been. Happy Ampuversary Yasmin!!!!
Love to you all

What great news! Hoppy Ampuversary, Yasmin !
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

The pictures really do speak volumes! She is soooooo happy and truly lpving life....even if Snowdrop does peck her on the nose (great picture capturing that)!
We had some silky chicks when I was a child...loved them!
Thank you so much for this inspirational update! It really is a beacon of hope for those just starting on this journey!
I have to laugh...a year ago you didn't know.how to post pictures. I felt so wise and accomplished because I could tell you about posting from photobucket to here. I'm still trying to figure out how to do a slide show though! Look at you now!!!

Happy 1 year ampuversary to Yasmin
So glad that she is loving life
Sending hugs to you,
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
A year!!! Happy, happy Yasmin!
Wonderful photos, good thing she got her agility back so she can get away from Snowdrop!

Congrats!!! One year is a GREAT and amazing milestone! She's beautiful!
Hugs,

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Ah thanks guys!
Sally - I learned a great deal from you. How to post photos was indeed a great accomplishment, but most importantly, you and Happy Hannah taught us how to be pawsitive and to have fun again! Jerry taught me to more dawg (weird, but the ability to think like a dog helped so much)
Karen, Michelle and Erica have always given me the best advice and support. Tripawds as a community has always been there for us. Love you all
If we hadn't found this wonderful community, Yasmin would not be here today.
Thank you all
