I'm a few days late on the post, but don't worry... we celebrated Barret's 1 year milestone on Wednesday!
He came to work with me 2 times this week (which is a lot because he is soooo energetic it makes it tough to get a lot of work done.. plus he sleeps on my desk, so it leaves me lacking some room to spread out) and we had ice cream with dinner!
I actually had scheduled a dental cleaning for him a few weeks before for the same date, but realized on Monday that it was his ampuversary and cancelled! I just couldn't do that to him on his special day!
I hope to check back in later... but for now farewell!
P.S. I'm planning a fundraiser in our store in September (on the 20th) and splitting the funds between Tripawds and my company's Bark for Life team. Barret's going to have his own Kissing Booth! I'll have more details soon, I hope!
Hugs to all!
Heather and Barret
Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog
YEEEEHAAAAW! Hoppy Ampuversary Barret, you are a ROCK STAR

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
