One month in the books. Recovery went much better than expected, and I feel so thankful and grateful for my good fortune.
Barret isn't interested in playing fetch yet (used to be his favorite game), but he's still a happy little bugger. Our walks get a little longer each day (though sometimes Daddy has to carry him home) and he's become a SPOILED Little BRAT, but its ok. He can have anything he wants. Here are some updated pics from the last week or so

Morning snuggles with momma (second picture)
This is his "Give me a cookie or suffer my wrath" face (third picture)
Have a pawrific weekend everyone!
Heather & Barret
Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog
Haha, yeah if he could reach the cookie jar we'd be in trouble... I think he could do it without thumbs, lol!

I warned you about how dang cute they get as a tripawd.
But I forgot to warn you that they have us wrapped around their front paw !!! Lol
Christine..... With Franklin in her heart <3
Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
Ohhhhhhhhhh yeah, Barret rocks the adorable scales right off he chart once again!
There's a resemblance there between the two of you in the first two photos------the "glasses" that emphasize the sharp intelligence that you both display---the utter bliss and contentment on the mugs of both of you as you cuddle.........I'm just unable to see the similarities in the third photo as I've never seen you beg for a cookie:-) Sooooooo, when you have time...................:-)
I agree with everyone, we can NEVER have too many photos of your boy! I hope you gave him the whole darn box of cookies after snapping the picture! If ya' gotta' be on this journey, "spoiling and lovng" make it fun for all parties involved!!
By the way, kudos to Barret for teaching your husband how to pick him up and carry him home when his little puppy feet just get too tired to do the task! Good job Barret!
Bouncimg some red balls your way that just happen to be filled with COOKIES!
Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
That photo of you and Barret is just darling! And I LOVE the way Barret sits up on his hind legs, he looks so natural at it, like he's just going to stand up and start walking like a bi-pawd. Too cute! And Hoppy Ampuversary to both of you, you did it!

Barrett has the greatest face!! It just screams cuteness!!!
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.

Haa! I love his buddy in the background staring at his legs amd asking, "Mom, what the heck is Barrett doing NOW?"
And I'm wondering what's so yummy on the stove that he's willng to use just two legs to get it?
Yeah, it was really a long tme before Hannah laid on her surgery site too-----I wanna say maybe almost six weeks?? Anyway,iy seemed to be a real big turning point in her recovery and it's been full speed ahead every since!
Love evsrything avout you Barrett!! Our little "snuggle" picture is ADORABLE------everything about you is ADORABLE!!!
Thanks for making our day! Could look at those eyes all day long.......even his "sleeping eyes"!
I bet it was your red ball on the stove, right?
Keep on mugging for us!
Lots of love,

CHEESE is the magical treat. We share a piece each morning when I make my egg sandwich
Yes, I'm so happy that more and more of him shines through each day. Now, If I could only figure out how to walk all three of my dogs at the same time without the other two tripping Barret with their leashes, we'd be GOLDEN!

Too. CUTE! I swear he's just going to start talking in human speak any moment now.
I'm so glad he's comfy enough to sleep on his incision site. That is a huge milestone. Yay!
