Perhaps not a great start to your day, Fortis, with the pedicure and all, but it all ended well. Orange is absolutely your colour!
Great pics. What a handsome guy.

Brett – you're sort of like that guy on tv – the one who lives next door to "Tim, the Tool Man, Taylor" – you know the show I mean? "Home Improvement" … that's it !!

Any chance you want to sell him? I'd even pay extra for the float coat . I've always wanted a dog that would swim…..

It's a package deal I'm afraid. Give me a tent out back and you have a deal. Two for the price of one! Wa. state, way way cool.
You know Fortis was scared to death of the water as young lad. In fact one of his best friends was a large adult male Great Dane, Thumper. Oh, they would play and play down by Barton springs which is very clear water body of water. When Thumper would tire of the tasmanian devil (Fortis was probably about 80# at this time) he would leap into the spring. Fortis would just stand there, barking and barking but he wouldn't go in. Thumper all rested would return for another round and the process would repeat itself over and over. Once when in murkier water all at once Fortis just went right in ready for some serious one on one water polo!!! That was all it was, he couldn't stand clear water even if only a foot deep. To this day he won't go in Barton Creek or any other clear body of water. But give him a muddy old river or a Texas cattle pond and he will swim all day…

I had to think on what Tana was saying! Canadians are a little behind on American current TV! We haven't had a sit-com in at least 5 years on the tube! We only have British contest shows now!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
sadly, I so rarely watch tv - the shows I remember best are the OLD sit-coms !!
... British contest shows ... and Reality TV !

"Going Dog" def: living every day in the moment
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."
