So, dogs love snow, and even on 3, my boy is crazy about snowstorm. So, we went for a small walk, you know, with the snow, I figured, it will drain more energy, even if Novak doesn't show any sign of fatigue while hoping in the snow, I went for short...But...the evening...wow, he spent it with me on the sofa watching tv and when it was time to go to bed, Novak couldn't stand on the back leg, he was crawling...poor boy. I had to help him with the harness(thank god for it). So, he was clearly sore, but next morning, he was A ok, like nothing had happened. So, I will need to shorten the walk even more in the snow, till he can gain more strength..
Novak is a Snow Dog!! He looks so happy in it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Yeah, it's quite a workout hopping in the snow! Glad he hadn't over done it too much and was feeling fine the next day! Looking at all the tracks in the snow, it looks like Novak had a great time!
Does he like eating the snow too? Some dogs do.
Seeing Novak happy just makes my day! 🙂
Hugs!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Yes he does love eating snow!
Talking about tracks...it was so cool to see his tracks with 3 pawprint...we can see that the back leg makes a long track, it rubs against the snow...when he hop fast, all 3 legs seem align in a straight line and when slower, we can see a "normal" track, but with just 3 paws LOL it was really really interesting. I didnt have my camera, so didnt take picture, but next time, I will.
Maybe very short or no walks, and let him enjoy the pure play in the snow? Many dogs love to just play.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
Awww he's such a good lookin boy.
I agree, just romping in the snow is hard work. It's like walking in deep sand. A good play session in snow is typically enough too satisfy even the most high energy pup.

Murphy loves to play in the snow! The deeper the better lol. He loves to run & crash into Cassie then fall over ... I think because when he falls over, he falls safely into the snow instead of face-planting into the ground like he normally would. Here's a video from last winter of the two of them wrestling a little bit
